ADVANCE RFID Electronic Lock
RFID reader technology is the most recent option added to the ADVANCE line. Onity’s ADVANCE RFID locking solution is engineered utilizing the secure and reliable reader technology, which is MiFare® and NFC (Near Field Communication) compatible, and meets the most stringent standards in the industry, including ISO14443A and ISO14443B (part 4). It is also BHMA 156.25 and BHMA 156.13 certified.
The system employs multiple levels of encryption in order to maximize security. All Onity ADVANCE RFID cards are encrypted with the NXP Crypto-1 encoding algorithm, used in more than 1 billion smartcards throughout the world. For even more advanced security, Onity has taken the additional step of further encrypting the information. This encryption is unique to Onity, and provides an extra level of protection.
ADVANCE RFID offers a selection of aesthetic options, including finishes, handle designs, and cover plates that allow blending the locks into any décor.
Upgradeability
Onity’s ADVANCE RFID contact-less electronic locking solution is designed to make it quick and affordable to upgrade from traditional magstripe locking technology to RFID. The ADVANCE lock’s modular two-piece design allows current Onity ADVANCE customers to complete a technology upgrade with only a simple “plug & play” replacement of the card reader, which in most cases takes just a few minutes per door to install.
In addition to replacing the lock reader, a central office software upgrade is all that is needed to complete the ADVANCE RFID installation. The lock handle, hardware and other electronics need not be replaced.

The Q3007 is a transponder that also detects the user’s fingerprint. Up to six different fingerprints can be stored in the memory. The first two fingerprints are treated as Master Fingers, and they must be used to authorise the learning of other fingerprints. The Q3007 is battery-powered, and one battery lasts for approximately 5,000 activations. The transponder can also be authorised for a time-limited ‘on’ state, during which period doors can be opened, simply by pressing the button.

During verification a person's biometric data is recorded at the enrollment station, converted by an algorithm to a biometric reference data record, and transferred to the individual's LEGIC badge.
For the recognition process, the LEGIC chip's reference template is read out. Afterwards, the fingerprint is being scanned, converted, and compared with the badge's reference data record.
LEGIC reader and fingerprint sensor are integrated into a reader module, that fits into many terminals and subterminals of Kaba Benzing's B-Net, Bedanet and B-Net 90 00 Series.
This comparison is called one-to-one (1:1) matching. If the two data records match, the employee's identity is confirmed. Another advantage of this solution is that the employee's biometric data is stored on the badge and responsibility is with the holder.
