The Online Architecture and Design Exhibition
An air exhaust uses a fan to remove water vapor, fumes, polluted or stale air from an interior space, facilitating the introduction of fresh air. Some can be mounted either vertically or horizontally.
Air exhausts are used to remove fireplace smoke and to ventilate bathrooms, kitchens and other areas in industry, public buildings, homes and other settings.
These devices are made from weatherproof, corrosion-resistant materials, often galvanized or stainless steel, or aluminum. They often feature covers or grillwork to protect them from rain and foreign matter. Different fan and motor types are available.
