A baby's room is a set of furniture intended for use in an infant's bedroom. In general, the furniture matches and has typical colors and motifs such as pink or blue, teddy bears, fairies, stars and animals. The set usually includes a cradle, storage (dresser, wardrobe, etc.) and a changing table. Other small pieces or accessories that can be added include chairs, table and lamps.
This furniture is intended for home use.
Most infant furniture is of wood, though other materials also are used. It must meet definite security requirements. In particular, crib or cradle bar spacing must be small enough to prevent the baby's head from becoming trapped.
Some choose the baby's room according to the sex of the infant: pink, violet, hearts and flowers for girls, blue and cars for boys. Unisex rooms often feature colors such as beige, yellow or orange, and teddy bear, animal or similar motifs.
