How to choose this product

A ceiling is generally a non-structural horizontal surface installed at a certain distance below the floor above or the building's roof. It consists of a metal or wooden framework supporting elements with decorative, acoustic and/or insulating properties which can be easily removed for maintenance purposes. These can be of fabric, plaster tiles, PVC or metal sheets, wooden boards or another material.

Applications

Ceilings may hide electrical, heating or other installations or improve the thermal or acoustic characteristics of the enclosed space. Their decorative functions include altering the height of the space and adding aesthetic qualities.

Technologies

There are two main types of false ceiling. Suspended ceilings comprise a framework, generally metallic, covered by tiles which are easily removed for access to the installations above. Stretch ceilings consist of a membrane or sheet of PVC or another material attached to a metal structure, often around the room's perimeter. The material is hot- or cold-stretched, depending on its nature.
