According to Frans de la Haye, the designer of the A250, this remark aptly reflects the essence of the Ahrend 250.
The Ahrend 250 office chair is exceptionally comfortable thanks to the use of translucent plastic ‘velum’. It follows the contours of the back, thus ensuring extra support. The Ahrend 250 also has height- and depth-adjustable lumbar support. Zero7 is a new Ares Line proposal of operative seatings which conjugates, with functional variations and design severity, all the most important aspects of contemporary office seatings. It is proposed in a multitude of versions: with and without headrest, padded, with mesh or plastic backrests, with fixed or multi-adjustable armrest, with a swivel base or a fixed legs base. The model showing the stitch seam on the seat is particularly interesting, and, in the version with the headrest, allows its use in management working spaces too. All the solutions are comprised within a unitary design which allows them to be associated to the greatest extent according to the different uses.

GENESIS EVOLUTION

The armchairs provided for the new auditorium in the Ministry of Health in Rome had to meet two basic needs: one part of the room had to be fitted with a flexible and modular seating system, while the other part required permanent seats equipped with a sophisticated simultaneous interpretation system and microphone. With these requirements in mind, Ares Line created GENESIS EVOLUTION, a new seat that can be harmoniously combined with the folding PAPILLON model.

Seat and backrest have polyurethane foam mats on a beech plywood core (5mm thick), fixed to an outer shell (12mm) of beech plywood. The whole set is upholstered with M-1 fireproof fabrics, with an additional underlying M-1 layer.
