Not every chair is created equal. Especially not Family Chairs by Lina Nordqvist, a foursome of traditional Swedish stickback chairs. Separately they present themselves as individuals, unique chairs aspiring to be something more than just pieces of furniture. Together they form a boisterous family, with each one displaying a distinctive character. Even the horizontal spindles between the chair legs play their part in the game.
%u201CI%u2019m fascinated by objects, and I like it when they have their own special individuality, something beyond mere technical function. That%u2019s why I decided on a graduation project at Beckmans College of Design in which I transformed something well-known and traditional into something unexpected.%u201D
It%u2019s no surprise that Lina Nordqvist%u2019s Family Chairs seem to be made for the stage: she has already pursued a career as a professional set designer in the Swedish film industry for several years.
Family Chairs won the Accent on Design Award in New York August 2009.

Seat and back in internal beech plywood. Outer faces in varnished oak or wengué, and mukali open-pore varnished in several colours (11 mm thick).
Metal structures in steel tube, painted in several colours with textured finish.
Upholstery in various configurations for the backrests, arms, seats and cushions. Four types of fabric may be used in different colours. All options of varnished or lacquered wood may be mixed with the different upholsteries.
Buttons cast in Zamak with various metallic finishes.
The Showtime chair honours the name of the collection.
Two different backrests, a high one and a low one, optional armrests and a large list of finishing – varnished wood, lacquers in a variety of colours and upholstered with four fabric types - which allows to perform all possible combinations and differentiation.

Since its introduction in 1992, the Campus chair from Lammhults has enjoyed spectacular success, as a design object and as a practical seating solution for interiors and customers around the world.
Lammhults continues the tradition of Scandinavian design leadership with Campus Air, a new version of the Campus chair. Danish designers Johannes Foersom and Peter Hiort-Lorenzen, together with the Lammhults product development team, have moved Campus forward with a new seat and back of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. Campus Air is a strong performer in any application - in schools, in corporate and institutional interiors. Now, with its galvanized frame option, Campus Air can even be used outdoors. The durable solid surface resists scratching and is easy to clean.
Campus Air continues the practical performance advantages found in Lammhults products: it stacks and links and can be easily managed with the Campus trolley. Campus Air is available in black, white and grey. Campus Air passes California TB 133 flammability tests, and is recycable.
