WOOD 100%. is an impressive piece of furniture made from solid chestnut, the fruit of the collaboration of industry, represented by Effeti, and a carpenter, Tarpac of Lucca. This skilful cabinet-maker took every single piece from the trunk and selected the most beautiful and flawless parts and also those parts that, when paired, would bring qualities of strength and movement to the whole, balancing one another and keeping the structure solid. When running your hand across the surface, despite the perfect planing of the surface, the careful sanding and the several coats of varnish, you can feel that the surface is not completely smooth. This is because the life in the wood is perceptible in its veins.

The worktop structure is made of 40x40mm. AISI304 stainless steel

And where the kitchen is the centre of the home, the island, freed from its service functions, becomes the true centre for rapport between the cook and the others: a wooden dining table is integrated with the island where food preparation and cooking takes place, in concert with the ritual of dining and entertaining. Socialising opens up to include cooking and vice versa, in a continual interlacing of relationships.

The concept of the emotion opens up the kitchen to the living space. With perfect ergonomics as the basis. Minimalist design geared to human movement with the eye-level as the demarcation line. Wall units with new proportions create extra space and together with the recess form a unified whole. A specially developed extractor hood is integral to the aesthetics. Special elements cleverly integrate various kitchen and living functions into the design – whether as a cupboard system, prep area or multi-media station. Stainless steel underframes, matching seating and a swivel table create a room environment that is spacious and lightweight.
