Contemporary shelves have multiple configurations to meet any need. They can be low or high, wheeled, modular, wall-mounted or of another form.
These shelves are used to display or organize many types of medium-sized objects. They are commonly found in offices, bedrooms, bathrooms and other locations, for CD/DVD storage and multiple additional uses.
Many such shelves are made of wood and glass, but Plexiglas, plastic, aluminum, stainless steel, certified wood and recycled materials are also used.
Choice will depend on the type and number of items to be placed on the shelves. Aesthetic considerations will determine the configuration and constituent materials.
