The "Hommage to Eileen Grey" is a reminiscence of an excellent designer, who worked in the twenties of the last century. Many of her designs are still produced today. Someone, who knows her works, can easily recognise the deduction from it.
Despite this, the Munich designer Danilo Silvestrin has designed with the Hommage a piece of furniture, which is unmistakably a child of his time.
Ordered around the year 1986, when in Germany, lightly belated, the war of the postmodernism was raging, Silvestrin concentrates on a furniture design without any attitude. He sketches with clear lines a pleasantly transparent composition, strict in structure and absolutely new.

A new freedom in designing the living area, combining the seal elements with tops and storage units. The upholstered unit is again at the centre ol the conversation area, which can today be interpreted through increasingly more original configurations.

The supporting frame is made of metal section aluminium coloured, the stopping panels are in multilayer and agglomerated wood, the sliding seats are on nylon guides. The padding is C.F.C. free non-deformable polyurethane foam in differentiated density and 100% polyester fibre. The base is in black varnished metal. A series of graft hinges allows connections between the different elements. Equipped with adjustable seats: by seating and pushing the seat forwards and stopping it in the desired position, the extended relaxseat position is obtained, back-rest with kidney-rest are manually adjustable. End-and-central units are equipped with extractable movement of the seat and adjustable back-rest. Long-chair with fixed seat, corner unit with fixed seat and back-rest. Completely removable covers.

EJ 250 is Erik Jørgensen’s idea of a sofa which is the gathering point of the living room. The sofa is wide and long enough to seat both family and friends – or just two people. EJ 250 is an architectonic piece of furniture itself, and therefore it perfectly matches the pure lines in the Scandinavian design tradition. Despite its size the sofa does not seem tremendously big thanks to the narrow armrests and legs and the simplicity of the design. The seat cushions
and the fix upholstered back provide good comfort and assure that everybody sits comfortably in the sofa.
The sofa is available with a chaise-longue element as well as a foot stool.
