This firm upholstered sofa was designed in 1946. The distinctive, sculptural bowl shape with arms and backrest of uniform height was inspired by Børge Mogensen’s own spoke-back sofa. Designed in 1945 for the autumn exhibition of the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild, it later enjoyed widespread popularity. Further refinement produced the timeless appearance and clearly defined stringency of the sofa. The sofa comes in leather and fabric.

An elegant high-backed leather sofa designed in 1971. Mogensen wanted to design a sofa for peaceful relaxation in front of the fireplace. He was inspired by the distinctive lines of the British ‘hall porter’s chair’ – a classic wing-style chair specially designed to capture heat from the open fireplaces typical of the cold housing of the past. In Danish, the popular term for this model is a ‘compartment sofa’ because it fits snugly round its occupant like the comfortable seats in a first-class train compartment. The sofa is available in two- and three-seater versions as well as a double two-seater version that seats four people.

Børge Mogensen designed this sofa in 1962 for his home in Gentofte north of Copenhagen, where it still stands, placed between the two tables that dictated the measurements of the sofa. The simplicity and clean lines have since made the sofa one of the most recognised Mogensen pieces, still used widely today in government buildings, embassies, executive offices and private homes the world over.

The repeated signature elliptical motif becomes shape and object. This modular seating system allows the realization of different configurations. The modules are proposed in the version: concave, convex and straight. The distinctive elliptical shape recalls traditional hand worked elements but applied to the new material BoPiFil, available in white, black and honey. The metal frame is lacquered for outdoor use in white, black and honey. The seat cushions are in polyethylene foam with closed cells. The backrest cushions are in polyester hollow fibre flock and are fixed to the backrest frame by a distinguishing frog detail. Covers are removable.

One glance at Scroll and your eyes are opened to a whole new realm of sitting and/or lying possibilities. Everything’s possible with Scroll, and all at once. Its basis is formed by an extremely wide, flat body, which seems to hover above the floor. Scroll can be used separately as a chair, or as a couch or sofa when used in combination with additional elements, and can thus be slept upon or simply used as some-where to rest your legs. A range of modern, sophisticated yet reassuring seating elements with an understated feeling of luxury in a vaguely Oriental mood. A new cleanness of subtle lines, of perfect proportions exuding an innate comfort emphasised by taut textiles and pure, neutral colours contrasted with bright colourful splashes of cushions and low tables varnished in plum, emerald green, paprika or lacquer red. Simple and minimal in the normal position; supremely comfortable when the backrest, which has a tilting mechanism, is raised. The chrome-steel or black painted tube legs are reminiscent of the coloured wooden sticks used for playing Mikado (or pick-up-sticks, known as Shanghai in Italian). The same motif is repeated in the legs of the low tables with decorated screen-printed or varnished laminate tops that complete the range. They are designed to match and blend with the sofas while maintaining a specific, independent identity.

Palace aims to represent a new concept to live and assemble one’s own living place.
It’s made of two seats, an armrest, three backrests and a pouf with or without castors which can be freely combined among themselves in order to offer endless possible creations. Metal supporting structure and elastic belts. Polyurethane padding.

ZAPPING, the new multi-functional sofa was taken up into the hit Guide 07 of the Cologner fair. With few handles you transform Zapping of a 3er sofa into a 2er sofa with Chaise Longue (on the left of or right) or into two Chaise Longues. If the arm rests are used in addition still as comfortable stools, the sofa offers place for up to six persons.
