A 1960s feel is given to this item by its rigorous volume and the geometric embroidering.
The well-studied practicality translates into an easy and precise mechanism.
A simple downwards movement of the sofa back, and the sofa becomes a comfortable bed.
The structure is made from red painted tubular metal, with criss-cross elastic strips.
The fabric covering can be completely removed.
The blanket is made from padded fabric.
The mattresses are made from expanded polyurethane with embroidered covering.
The cushions are padded with polyester wadding.

In over more than 30 years, Makio Hasuike has created top designs for many italian and international companies which have been awarded the Compasso d'Oro, Premio Triennale, Design Plus and have been in permanent exhibition at the MOMA in New York. Today, he is part of the Founding Committee of the Strategic Design Master Program at the Politecnico of Milan, besides teaching at the School of Industrial Design in Milan.
