The LEAF Collection: Mature sets the most beautiful example. Gently curving lines join to form an organic whole that gently embraces body and soul. Man also blossoms in nature. What could be more inspiring than a bed of roses? But, the course of nature prevents keeping such a priceless treasure. And yet, nature can be the model for extraordinary creations like the new LEAF Collection.
The graceful shape of elegantly curved leaves is the spin off for these unique beach chairs and matching side table.
Two sizes - single or double bed - encourage sensual high spirits and enable js be one with nature. A leaf's natural shape with its light division running down its Length creates a gentle depression for relaxed lounging. A comfortable cushion made of breathable foam has been integrated into the bop of the beach chair. Leaf's perfect complement is the matching overlay made of soft, thick cotton. The beach chairs rest on four stationary points and always give the needed support.

Archetype for McGuire combines the familiar McGuire medium of teak with a new material - aluminum. Choosing this rather industrial material gave designer Michael Vanderbyl license to an architectural interpretation of traditional outdoor furniture forms. This clean, edited aluminum chaise features tapered front legs, rear disk wheels and a simple, Velcro-attached, round head roll.

Herbert Hirche's design of this chair refers strongly to the >Bauhausi, where Hirche was a student from 1930 to 1933, his main teacher being Mies van der Rohe. Afterwards Hirche worked in van der Rone's office and later with Egon Eiermann. The »Lounge Chain was designed in 1953 during Hirche's time as proffesor at the Academy of Art in Stuttgart. Unusually enough, the chair never went beyond prototype stage. Only since the year 2000, Richard Lampert produces this classic with a variety of fabrics and cow skins.

Jaime Hayon has quickly become the most suggestive character of the new Spanish design scene. In his meteoric international success, BD's Showtime collection, developed and introduced in 2006, has shone especially. A collection of great personality for the home and the contract, that was completed the following year with a family of chairs. In the wake of its success, BD now introduces a new piece in this collection: the Lounger. It has the elegance of the collection, the comfort that is required for this type of chair and Hayon's unmistakable stamp in its design: contrasts between classicism and modernity, monocolor finishes and high quality upholstered in fabric or leather.
Design: Jaime Hayon

The "Lounge Chair" ("and Ottoman", 1955) is the only Eames model which deliberately acquiesces to the world of luxury and opulence. Above all, it represents a decisive contribution to the modern design of the '50s, which, freed of the austere geometric forms of the '20s, moved towards more sculpted and organic shapes.
Eames wanted to design a comfortable yet simple armchair, whose frame and upholstery are fused like two hands crossed together. This is the explanation he gave his wife, or at least that's how the story goes. The result fully respects his intentions: the armchair appears to wrap itself around the body like a glove, allowing the user to sink in slowly, just the way Eames intended it. Without in any way minimizing its innovative aspects regarding materials: multi-layered curved rosewood for the three wooden "frames," pressure-cast aluminium (painted black and polished in the upper section) for the five-spoked base.
Permanently on display at MoMA in New York.
