Globes
ever since, at the end of the 15th century, nuremberg merchant martin behaim had the world, at the time still very incomplete, printed onto a globe, the latter have been extremely popular as a compact cartographic medium. in an illuminated version they are not only particularly practical but also an impressive accessory for any living room or study.
the absolut-lighting globe »erde« (earth) offers a clever dual-image system. when lit up it presents a physical map of our world, when unlit, a political one, in english or german, as preferred. the globes »mond« (moon) and »sterne« (stars) invite their owners on a virtual trip through strange worlds, bathing the room where they stand in a gentle, dreamy light. this illuminated globe series features an impressively appealing mixture of materials, craftsmanship to »absolut«'s usual high standards and, for the standard lamp version, a height that can be adjusted smoothly.

shadow play has been enchanting people throughout the world for many centuries now. as a homage to this art form, michael rösing has designed, together with cologne-based artist and beuys pupil dennis thies, »shining-image«. .»shining-image« will project ten different motifs onto any free wall-space in the house. the comical, two-dimensional sculptures, a delight for all, not only for children.

The Star beams light through layers of folded brass, copper or stainless steel mesh. The standing lamps have a rust or silver base. The table lamp has a Hi/Lo dimmer switch and the floor lamp features a full range dimmer. The Star pendant is available with a single or double layered shade in two different sizes.

Floor lighting fixture made out of a steel base and a telescopic body that allows the height adjustement of the lighting head. Two special devices prevent the telescopic arm to rotate or to make unexpected vertical movements. Models with double dimmer code 393 and double switch are available. Various bulbs can be used (within the maximum admitted power) incandescent, halogen or compact electronic fluorescent (these last only on the switch model). Danzatrici
Range of floor lamps composed by a curvilinear steel stem and of a hand shaped blown frosted diffuser. They have different lighting features: Tus, provides indirect light if oriented towards a reflecting surface. Tug, supplies direct downwards light, ideal for reading. Ting, provides uniform diffused light. Thanks to these features Tus, Tug and Ting can solve several and recurrent lighting requirements in a room. Tus, Tug and Ting can also be assembled in a single lamp, Balletto, provided with three independent dimmers.
