“The Nanook collection is composed of a chair, an armchair and a low table. It reflects a study of the passage from two to three dimensions based on observing the tanning of a quadruped's hide. The chair's upholstery should be seen as a sign, a trace, a memory of the animal, the transfiguration of its skin. This taut skin evokes memories of the animal it once was. The same skin, pleated, gives us the three-dimensionality of a chair or armchair. The structure is a hexagonal network inspired by molecular geometry or a snowflake. The natural form of a skin for the chair's upholstery. The rigorous geometry of Nature for its structure. Like the Inuit peoples who wear animal skins for protection, Nanook's technical-fabric upholstery has tribal echoes. The pleated, three-dimensional skin is transformed into a contemporary object through the use of digital printing for the upholstery, and moulded synthetic material for the structure. Nanook seating – whose name derives from the protagonist of the first nature documentary in film history – preserves tribal memories while looking to the future and to technology with the same optimism with which Nanook observed his icy environment.”

The first project for Moroso by Laura Aquili and Ergian Alberg, both graduates from the Milan Politecnico and the Delft University of Technology.
A partnership born in the London studio of Zaha Hadid and which in 2006 saw the setting-up of the Aquilialberg studio. Laura Aquili and Ergian Alberg have designed the side table Vertigo for Moroso, the product of research into the perception of movement applied to daily life. Made in Corian throughout, Vertigo expresses a new dynamic quality encapsulated in a strong conceptual abstraction. The shape evolves in space in a continuous and measured alternation of the surfaces.
Vertigo is a table with expressively flowing lines, symmetrical yet at the same time dense with spatial complexity. Inspired by Escher, it restores a new dynamic quality to the image, constructing its form in an exchange of continuity between solids and empty spaces, lightness and movement.

A series of tables of different heights – side table, low table, coffee table – decorated with delicate floral motifs. Ultra-sophisticated and precious in the Corian® versions featuring dye-sublimation printing (a technique by which the ink permeates the material). The mirror or screen-printed glass versions use less elaborate yet equally striking and approachable materials, ideal for the elegant home or luxury hotel.

the Trendy-Tub® is a barrel made of a very resistant type of cardboard. It's encircled by two metal-rings and a lid made of galvanised metal. The factory from which we now buy the barrels formerly only recycled the lids and received a compensation for it. By contrast, it is difficult to recycle products made of two materials as you have to separate these. It's a costly process for which you need special machines. This is the moment we intervene by buying the barrels that served only once for the transportation of flour. The barrels are like new, sometimes with little defects on the lid, which we can easily fix by using a hammered painting. The dimensions of the Trendy-Tub are perfect: the small version has a height of 44.5 cm, a diameter of 41.5 cm and weighs only 3.9 kg. The big version is 74 cm high, has a diameter of 46 cm and weighs 5 kg. Both dimensions correspond to the standard-heights of seats and tables.
Practical side: The Trendy-Tub® can be used in multiple ways: storage (dry dog food, laundry basket, cushions, blankets, etcetera), seat, table (bedside, console table, pedestal table). It's useful and decorative and finds a place anywhere, even in small interiors. We can transform it into furniture: coffee table, dining table, shelves and even lamps...
Decorative side: When the barrels arrive in our warehouse we decorate it. Therefore we use “trendy” wallpapers or designs from artists, which we print on a special type of paper (used for outside-advertising posters). The choice of designs is huge and can be categorized in different collections: off-beat, humorous, artistic, childish, romantic, etc...

ITI-NUI – I designed this fitting inTahiti, inspired by the contours of the land and summarizing the geological phenomenon of the South Pacific Islands. This table consists of two parts which, when fitted together, represent a volcanic and massive island.When the central small table is removed, an atoll and its interior lagoon appear. It is born from a concept of color, difference, employment, modularity'; cubic element of an articulated system with lacquered colours, mirror, leaves gold and silver and foil bronze varnished. The structure is in tempered float “extraclear” glass and it has 5 sides to sight and 1 side of support in tempered float clear glass. The combinations are to like it finds great utility' as element of single furnish, hands objects, lamps etc. and combined as plain / table or also as simple element of decorum.
