Design: frey + boge
Abraham is in every respect "more excitingly" an rocking armchair. A goal of the designers was it to create a leisure cabinet which already betrays by its optics, like the owner in it feels - an rocking armchair thus with flowing forms and homogeneous general impression. In order to obtain this effect, the designers stretched a flexible covering over a comfortably padded steel tube rack. Thus the rocking armchair Abraham with its calm and sovereigns radiant emittance developed. One feels gently swinging in this armchair as in Abrahams lap: surely and saved.
Suitably the "exciting" rocking armchair Abraham gives it the seat stool to Abraham

For the very first time, Pierre Paulin's 1971 design for seating for the private apartments of Claude & Georges Pompidou at the Elysée Palace is being put into large-scale production. Pumpkin is characteristic of Paulin's revolutionary style, as initiated at the end of the 1950's, and as its name suggests is evocative of a giant pumpkin, welcoming the user with its protectively voluptuous - and voluptuously protective - shell. Resisting its appeal is an impossibility

The Sanluca armchair, designed in 1961 by the architects Ashille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, was to be an 'armchair for relaxation". The points of support, the slant of the surfaces, the sizes of the sections, everything has been studied in order to obtain the maximum degree of comfort: in this way the body can relax without sinking, maintaining a coned upright positions. Anything amounting to a (enrol and superfluous extra has been intentionally eliminated, and as far as the aesthetic appearance is concerned, the Sanluca armchair is an object with an essential and modem line.

The spare and essential lines created by dustsheets draped over furniture inspired the Enchanted Collection. The pieces are stately, expressing noble eccentricity. The tall legs and exaggerated back contours on the pieces create a breezy feeling, as if they would catch the wind like a ghost.

Oxchair was designed by Hans J. Wegner (1914). Like other pieces of furniture which are now regarded as modern classics Oxchair was ahead of its time when it was launched in 1960. Making use of superior raftsmanship skills Wegner had created a sophisticated and demanding construction. In 1989 Erik Jørgensen and Hans J. Wegner collaborated in bringing Oxchair back to life. Today Oxchair stands as a sculptural, agile and masculine manifestation of the very best which Danish furniture has to offer. An organic upholstered furniture that presents itself to the beholder as if formed from one single block.

Song is a revolutionary armchair which combines the comfort of a winding seat with a sophisticated Hi-Fi system. Song is equipped with a stereo amplifier, two micro-loudspeakers embodied in the headrest and two "sound vibrations" devices inserted in the upholstered armrests. The whole equipment can be connected to a portable CD, DVD or TV system, to create a personalized Home Thetare system. The peculiarity of the sound vibrations reproduced by the Song system creates a positive and relaxing atmosphere where oneself can deep to relieve of a hard working day, to energise before a heavy duty or, more simply, just to listen some good music enjoying the most complete sound sensations.

If it were not for the fact that small armchairs were around before, you could be forgiven for thinking Paolo Piva invented this practical genre. While we may dream of owning a large and inviting armchair, few apartments really have enough room for one. With Auriana, Paolo Piva has once again proved himself to be a master of elegant lines and proportions. And Wittmann Möbelwerkstätten have demonstrated that quality and comfort can and must have their place even in the most confined spaces. There is a strong tradition of small armchairs at Wittmann. The company’s expertise in this area is hardly surprising when one considers that Piva’s Aura has been a part of the collection for a quarter of a century — and neither is the intuitive understanding between designer and company.

Ball Chair by Eero Aarnio 1966
The Ball Chair - or Globe Chair as it's called sometimes - was designed by using one of the most simple geometric forms - the ball. Cutting of a part and fixing it at one point Eero Aarnio comes to a remarkable result - a completely unconventional shaped chair:

Focus 2 Chair by Eero Aarnio 2003
Aarnio always is interested in learning about new ways of production and seeing , if they are appropriate to realize his ideas of design %u2013 a maximum liberty of formation.
So he found the %u201Crotation moulding%u201D %u2013 a way of working with plastic (in this case MDPE medium density polyethylene) which offers mostly the same possibilities for design as fibreglass, used for the Pastil Chair or Ball Chair but much more cheaper in production getting a high quality result. This interesting combination Aarnio wanted to try out immediately. The chair Focus 2 was born.
Based on the upholstered Focus Chair we are now able to offer not only a version which is much more reasonable but also suitable for garden and outdoor furnishing.

Tomato Chair by Eero Aarnio 1971
Aarnio about Tomato Chair: "A product idea can come about in many different ways and here is one of them.
I realized that Pastil Chair floats and carries the person who sits in it in water but it is very rickety. If there were three items like two great armrests and the back of the chair would be stable, and this is how the idea of the TOMATO Chair was born. The name reflects its looks: looking at the chair from the front there are two round shapes i.e. two circles like in the word tOmatO."
