THE EGG
Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958.
Developed for the lobby and reception areas at the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958.
The Egg originated in Arne Jacobsen's garage - cast in plaster.
Today the synthetic shell is padded with cold foam and covered with fabric or different types of leather resting on a star-shaped aluminium base.
As a special anniversary model, we are introducing a beautiful and unique Egg. This Egg will only be available in a limited number of 999 Eggs. Each Egg will be numbered, a brief text about the Egg is printed on the back of the cushion and for those who buy the Egg we offer a book about the Egg and Arne Jacobsen. 999 books, i.e. one book for each Egg will be sent from Fritz Hansen

The inspiration for the hull came following a ludic reflection relating to a piece of paperboard to which one gave the shape of a stylized figurine. It was enough to fold back the '' arm '' (balustrades) to obtain the initial structure of the armchair. With three simple foldings, its two-dimensional surface was moulted in a three-dimensional form. Upholstering is coiled perfectly in the white or black plastic hull and marries the slightly wedge-shaped structure of the unit. Frayed forwards, it gives to the armchair an air pace without neglecting the aspect of comfort. The seams underline contours and confer a marked silhouette to him. '' Torn '' offers a soft pressure and brings the maintenance necessary to unconstrained comfort releasing. Its reduced volumes confer a lightness in space and a gracious form to him which ensures a comfort. To be able to appreciate this comfort fully, the user also has a pouf/footstool.

I'm dreaming design dominic symons. The designer - Swiss by birth but Anglo-American by adoption - Dominic Symons, imagined I'm dreaming as the curvy outline of a seated person who is dreaming: "A functional seat in all its simplicity imbued with sensuality". There are various places where you can dream, just as there are different spaces where you can put I'm dreaming: in the home, the garden, by the side of the swimming pool, on the terrace, in a hotel reception area, a museum, a children's bedroom (where the children can also play and hide under its shell).
I'm dreaming is made in a single piece of double-walled rotomolded polyethylene; mass coloured in: Bianco, Cielo, Oceano, Albicocca, Menta, Bosco, Argilla, Nero. The upholstered I'm dreaming is available in the versions: - fabric cover Kvadrat Divina2 in 54 colours, and fabric cover Kvadrat Divina Melange in 6 colours; - leather cover in 3 colours: Nero, Cacao, Bianco. A "wavy", wide and comfortable seat made of polyethylene in three different colors: yellow, white and terracotta, suitable for both inside and outside. Santa Monica may be used as an individual seat or connected through the holes in the chair's spine, it can form straight or slightly curved compositions.

Free modular seating. The frame and the tubular profile are in stainless steel with brushed finish. The weaving is in BoPiFil, white, black, honey. The triangular seating cushion and the particular backrest cushion with steel frame adjustable in different heights, are made of: filtren, draining rigid polyurethane foam (for outdoor) or polyurethane foam (the cushion should be protected from rain). The cover is removable.
