The final product in the Lualdi catalogue is the Blues door; simple and compact, it brings together materials that are in tune with current interior design trends. The different finish options for the door leaf (transparent or opal safety glass; box construction in oak, horizontal veneer, or matt enamel in a series of colours) paired with a frame in anodised aluminium, create solutions with great formal rigidity. The doorjamb, constructed with the same material as the frame, is telescopic and adapts to walls of varying thickness.

OPEN UP NEW SCENARIOS. System of doors with swing opening. Extra is a new concept in swing doors, with its high-tech design and features. The door, made entirely of glass in various finishes or entirely in anodised aluminium, bleached or weng%uFFFD-stained oak or lacquered white, is positioned outside the wall. The telescopic jambs are in anodised aluminium. The hinges are of reduced size. The handle assembly features an innovative design.

Then, using the design, species, and dimensions that you specify, Simpson can create your masterpiece. Whether we construct your door with veneer and engineered core components or laminated lumber, we will incorporate both technology and beauty into your individual design.
Once you have a design, you can then select the species of wood that is the best match, whether a classic favorite or something more exotic. We work with dozens of wood species from around the world, including: fir, hemlock, pine, knotty pine, cherry, maple, walnut, oak, mahogany, knotty alder, poplar, birch and white birch.
Whatever the species used in Simpson Custom Doors, it must meet strict grading standards before being accepted. For instance, we use only color matched Cherry that is all heart with no sap. The beauty of cathedral grain patterns are retained for parts over 26" long and 4" wide. Veneered panels are slip matched to further enhance the consistent appearance. Maple is another good example, since we only use hard rock maple that is uniform in color.

This series of doors, which align perfectly with the wall, was born out of a completely innovative concept in line with the new design aesthetic of linearity and essentiality. The dummy frame is in fact replaced by a thin doorjamb made of anodised aluminium, attached to the wall with clamps, provided with rubber gasket: a special treatment guarantees a perfect adhesion between the aluminium and the wall. The door has an external hinge, which allows for it to be opened towards the outside (with a push) or towards the inside (by pulling).

The design for Ala model is born out of the concept of a three-dimensional door whose presence in a room provides a sense of volume. The effect is created by the bevelled shape of the external side of the coverings, which gives the impression that the door protrudes from the wall, and creates an unusual play of shadows on the wall. The door is veneered with enamelled cherry or oak wood or matt enamel in a series of colours. On the version with stainless steel inlay, the veneer runs horizontally. The hinges are concealed.
