Tea Party is a witty take on a classic ‘Toile de Jouy’ design. Mythical birds sit in fantastic trees whilst little acrobats somersault, balancing tea pots on their feet, watched over by smiling characters. The slubby linen ground and the unexpected colour combinations give a modern freshness to a classical idea.

The "ACCADEMIA" Collection is inspired in Venetian drawings of the XIX Century, but given a contemporary touch. It represents a commitment to colour, which, via the transposition of tones, results in highly forceful fabrics. The collection is based on one primary drawing in 6 different colours, plus coordinated stripes, linen voiles and chenilles, all of them in natural materials and many tones.

The mix of printed textures, the metallic reflections and the colours chosen by its creator, Coqui Ybarra, transport us to the interior of a grand theatre whose main décor is complemented by the by-now emblematic stripes of our design house.

Inspired by the delicate silks often used in the creation of traditional Japanese kimonos, our Kimono is a beautiful small-scale tonal jacquard. The pattern of Kimono is reminiscent of those found in traditional obi fabrics with an abstract, geometric effect. The textile also has the added detailing of a small running stitch effect across the face, which combined with the slight shine, gives the face added depth and interest.

Handwoven
The large ikat pattern formed by meticulous hand-dyeing and hand-tying silk threads gives this fabric its illusive quality. It is as if sunlight and shadows are continuously playing on this luxurious fabric. However, there is no illusion to the appeal of this magnificent six-ply silk ikat – day or night, indoor lighting, natural lighting, even moonlight – this outstanding fabric has a special character created by hand-weaving natural, textured Thai silk threads into this luxurious cloth. A decorator’s palette of ten colours makes all sorts of captivating illusions possible.
