Characterized by its hexagonal form with reversed S curve giving him a very current "look", Funshade is a structure of the garden umbrella type covering a surface of 49 m ² with only one central mast.
Its performances and its flexibility in use make of Funshade an ideal product for the provisional cover of external spaces: terraces of coffee, restaurant, centers of leisures, exhibition stands, bus shelter,...
Funshade has a very great wind resistance (up to 100 km/h), and profits from remarkable qualities of stability, resistance and longevity.
Delivered in kit ready to go up, it settles quickly, and can easily be dismounted/gone up one season on the other.
Funshade is also personnalisable thanks to a broad choice of colors

The tensile structure for the Lalla Grill Restaurant, located at the Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey, California, covers nearly 1,000 square feet over the outdoor patio dining area. Three saddle shaped membranes are made with Ferrari 702-T2 PVC fabric and supported with stainless steel cables and fittings from Frontier Technologies.

This premium Southern California Entrance Canopy provides weather protection with first class style. Every column and every beam on this elegant frame has been hand crafted to a tapered width in order to meet the design requirements specified by the client. The single mast design minimizes obstacles near the building entrance. The 12' projection and 22' width allow for ample protection from rain or sun. The midspan rain gutter system collects water and diverts it off to the sides of the canopy.
- Stainless steel cables and fittings provided by Frontier Technologies.
- The frame of the structure was completely welded with a very high attention to detail to provide a smooth architectural finish. No bolted field assembly parts were permitted.
- The tension roof membranes were fabricated from Saint Gobain's PTFE product Sheerfil V®.

The Parkwest Medical Office Building Project is a 2000 square-foot tension structure designed to cover the main entrance and compliment the architecture of the building. There are four 20-foot masts supporting the Ferrari 702-T fabric which span approximately 65-feet in length.

To cover both doorways to the property this striking hyperbolic form was designed drawing maximum attention made from PVC coated polyester with a powder coated galvanised steel tubular frame.
|
|
|
The project is comprised of (29) 8 inch diameter posts, each standing 24 feet off the ground, and (14) canopy modules, each at 16 feet wide and 32 feet long. The canopy module frames are made from 6 inch diameter rolled steel. Each canopy module was designed with two layers of mesh PVC fabric membranes (Ferrari 492). The two layers of fabric create a dynamic kaleidoscope effect as you stroll beneath the shade. At night, the canopies are well lit with a revolving spectrum of colorful lights.

The tensostruttura is the typical tipologia of the architecture weaves them to free geometry.
The roofing is constituted from a liner in polyester to double spalmatura of PVC, and according to the tipologia chosen, they can be employed various types of technical fabrics.
The tensostrutture to carrying arches, can have the structure in wood, iron or aluminum, and be to mono or double coibentante liner; the advantages of the double liner are the reduction of the thermal coeficiente in the ambient inside, the reduction of condenses and a smaller acoustic resonance
The Tensostruttura can find its application for the roofing of the fields from calcetto, special fields from tennis, handlings, race courses, roofings for manifestations and concerts, fairs, incomes and so on.

The protective dome canopy also had to compliment the mall’s coastal and marshland theme for both day and night use.
Eide Industries, Inc. was able to accommodate the design and fabrication requirements for the new Coastal Grand Mall (also known as the Mall of South Carolina) in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The white powder coat painted canopy frame is engineered to withstand 150MPH Exposure “D” windloads. The fabric cover is made with 9.25oz Sunbrella Firesist® 8604 Natural fabric color with Tenara® thread. The edges of the fabric cover are tensioned with 20,000 pound webbing attached to threaded adjustable steel tension plates.
- Pavilion Canopy dimensions are 51-foot diameter by 25-foot high.
- The white powder coat finished canopy frame is engineered to withstand 150MPH Exposure “D” windloads.

Acrylic topcoat is a thin liquid coating applied to the surface of the PVC-coated fabric. Acrylics are generally known to have fair resistance to deterioration by UV light, so this thin coating is expected to erode and wear away relatively quickly, exposing the PVC and the fabric to the elements. As the plasticizers in the PVC migrate to the surface and attract and hold dirt, resulting discoloration of the fabric structure may be a sign that failure of the PVC coating is progressing.

An air-supported structure utilizes an architectural fabric skin that is inflated by internal air pressure. Because there is no internal frame, the structure consists of only a fabric skin and a blower system that creates the building and defines its shape.
These structures are an inexpensive way to create a very large building, frequently meeting the need for all-weather or around-the-clock facility for sporting activities such as tennis, swimming, soccer and golf driving ranges. Businesses also select air-supported structures for warehousing, construction site storage and light manufacturing. In many applications, the structure usage is temporary or even seasonal, installed in the winter and removed and stored in the summer.
Because of the design of an air-supported structure, the material needs to be very strong to support the structural loads. On very large buildings, the use of external cables is incorporated to transfer loads to the ground.
Air-supported structures can be designed with several optional features including an insulation layer on the inside of the fabric skin to control the cost-efficiency of heat and air-conditioning. Structures also can utilize translucent fabrics to provide soft natural lighting inside the building or can use opaque materials to minimize heat build-up in the

A pre-engineered tension frame structure consists of an internal metal frame and an architectural fabric skin that is stretched over the frame. As the name indicates, these buildings are pre-engineered to specific sizes and design loads. The internal metal frame will consist of a series of arches, purlins, and cable braces. The frame will be either an aluminum extrusion or a steel truss system. The strength of the architectural fabric that is used depends on the spacing of the arches and the design loads of the building.
Customers typically order buildings based on the size needed and the design load required for a specific site. The pre-engineered building package can be customized to accommodate special needs such as personnel and cargo doors, special colors and graphics, and insulation and liner systems. These buildings can also be heated and air-conditioned.
Typical uses include warehousing, churches, casinos, sporting activities, and manufacturing.

DuPont Tedlar® PVF film is not a liquid topcoat. It is a film layer that is bonded to the vinyl fabric in the manufacturing process. It is in the same polymer family as Teflon®, and proven in demanding applications such as awnings, outdoor signs, solar collectors, roofing, exterior truck/trailer panels, highway sound barriers, and commercial building panels for over 30 years. Well known for its durability, inertness, cleanability, and easy-care attributes, Tedlar® is inherently flexible and contains no plasticizers. It provides a clean, slippery surface that naturally resists dirt and is essentially "selfcleaning".

Custom designed tension structures require the collective efforts of an architect, engineer, fabricator and installer. These buildings are one-of-a-kind designs and are often high profile structures. The buildings incorporate metal frames or masts, cables and highly tensioned architectural fabrics. Custom structures can also be designed to adjoin or rest on top of a conventional building.
These buildings often involve three-dimensional fabric shapes that simply cannot be achieved using standard building materials. Due to the high profile nature of custom designed structures, the use of an architectural fabric that utilizes a Tedlar® PVF top coating system is very common.
Custom designed tension structures include shopping malls, canopies, sports stadiums, aircraft hangers and warehousing.
