Compare Guardian's new UltraWhite glass to ordinary float glass, it becomes clear - clarity you can see.
Designers have long sought glass that doesn't dull or distort the true color spectrum. Guardian UltraWhite is that glass. The virtual absence of color makes UltraWhite glass the natural choice when true color and clarity count.

Noble material, diffused light
Partecipating in events while preserving room for privacy.
Such is the heart of modernity. And such is also the advantage afforded by an age-old material now featuring a new technology that looks to the future. It is not opaque or transparent; it possesses a different light with a new texture. DecorFlou® satinfinished glass sheets feature strong light transmission with perfect diffusion. They therefore create a light that is unique - strong yet serene and immediately perceptible.
Not all satin-finished glass sheets allow the same light through. DecorFlou® technology materializes light effects in harmonious fashion; the treatment applied makes their texture velvet -smooth, hard-wearing, incorruptible and anti-reflex.
DecorFlou® is a protagonist among materials - it represents unrivalled value in its relation to light.

Excellent material, guaranteed value
The XX century stated it clearly: glass is architecture.
DecorFlou® is one step ahead: satin-finished glass is added value in architecture.
Its technical features are well-known. Its innovative edge derives from OmniDecor® research: light transmission, filter, visual lightness, nuances, organic value, consistency in time. The same goes for indoor environments: a cement wall can only be a wall - a satin-finished glass wall is something else.
A DecorFlou® door is something else. It is immediate well-being, a relaxing combination of participation and privacy, solidity and transparency. Walls like screens, floors like islands of light. Shops and settings that do not reject - rather invite in.

Thermal Tempering is when glass is re-heated to just below its melting point, then suddenly cooled by directing multiple jets of cold air at a controlled pressure onto its surface.
By this means, the outer surface of the glass is subjected to compression and its interior to traction. The intensity of these two forces depends on the temperature that was reached just before cooling starts, enabling the production of tempered or heat-strengthened glass.

A new technology has been developed to increase the performance of traditional double-glazing, where the traditional aluminium spacer is replaced for a thermo-plastic material (TPS).
This unique system allows the use of a high molecular weight gas filling, together with a structural silicone sealant.
The TPS formulation is based on polyisobutylene, desiccants and ultra-violet inhibitors.
|
|
Ambience double-glazing consists of two or more lights of glass separated by chambers filled with air or other dehydrated gas.
An aluminium spacer containing a desiccant is used to separate the lights.
The unit stays dry thanks to a double layer of moisture-proof sealing.
The second sealant keeps the two lights firmly in place and ensures the integrity of the system.

-Silicone facade system
-Thickness of the glazing-between 18 and 20mm
-The maximum building heigth-6,00m
-Many decorative caps are existing

OKAWOOD Insulating glass with timber inserts
As a natural material, wood creates a very comfortable atmosphere inside buildings. This is also true for the glazing: The incorporation of wood into the glazing projects the exclusive natural raw material and its special colouration. OKAWOOD with its timber grid in the interpane cavity allows warmly coloured light to fall into the room. OKAWOOD with timber veneer adds the emotional warmth and vitality of the natural material to the building's contours - the exclusive woods are protected from UV- radiation and any other climatic conditions.

OKAPANE Light-Diffusing Insulating Glass for U-profile Glass
OKAPANE is a capillary panel made of honeycombed, glass- clear tubes. The OKAPANE capillary slab is covered with glass fibre tissue (10mm) on both sides.
Light-diffusing insulating panels in double-soundproofing U-profile glass (Linit or Profilit) utilise the daylight and significantly reduce heat losses. They ensure the optimum and even light emission in the room, independent from alternating irradiation conditions. Light transmission and sun protection (TSET) can be determined in correspondence with individual demands. A superb, colour rendering, excellent thermal insulation Ug-value up to 0,7 W/(m²K) | 0.12 Btu/(h ft² °F) and the significant improvement of soundproofing as well as the optical effect of depth from inside and outside round off the property-spectrum of OKAPANE.

OKALUX - Light Diffusing Insulating Glass
OKALUX insulating glass elements with capillary inlays are beautiful and highly efficient. The diffuse the daylight deep into the room and simultaneously provide an excellent sun and glare control. Their heat insulation properties are impressive and the transmission values of the glass can be individually adjusted to suit the requirements of your buildings.
The insulating glass elements contain copious translucent or white capillary tubes in the inter-pane cavities. These split up the incident daylight and diffuse it throughout the interior room.

OKATECH Insulating Glass with Metal Interlayer
Object design with the design object
The innovative power of OKALUX has much to offer for the design oriented architect: a design element in the area of multi-pane glazing called OKATECH.
OKATECH is an insulating glass with metal interlayer. Various textures such as metal interlays, expanded metal grids or ornaments with perforations ("holes") with different colour coverings become combined with sun protecting or heat loss covering and thus add glow, structure and texture to the insulating glass. Emphasis is given to the interplay of visual attractions, light and shadow, glow and structure, light diffusion and reflection. Tightly woven patterns in façade glazings can almost "exclude" glare caused during the zenith of the summer
sun.

Karma is the exclusive glass covering tile created by Trend to enhance the colour depth through vivid light effects.
Inspired by Gothic cathedral windows, karma combines tradition with innovation thanks to a silver foil on the plate rear which gives the material a particularly deep effect. It’s a hand cut glass tile available in different sizes: from 2x2 cm until biggest size 48x96 cm, particularly suitable to cover bigger surfaces such as counter tops or walls where it is important to have not too many joints. The product colour range is very wide and the intentional lack of colour homogeneity makes Karma the best solution to create original decorative combinations: the total look of the surface will be pleasantly uneven.
Thanks to its resistance to chemical agents, to thermal shocks and since it doesn’t absorb water, Karma is suitable for any indoor and outdoor covering.

Overview
The Pilkington Planar structural glazing system provides a flush glass surface by utilising stainless steel fittings housed in countersunk holes to fix the glass façade back to the structure instead of using the more conventional framed systems. The result is a fully engineered system with the minimum of structure and the maximum visual clarity. A silicone seal between adjacent panels provides weatherproofing.
The system has given architects the freedom to create the stunning glass buildings and canopies that are such a feature of modern cityscapes.
Please note that while Pilkington Planar can incorporate most Pilkington glass types - which now includes the Pilkington Suncool range of solar control glass - it should always be fitted as a complete system and is only available from our approved network of suppliers.
Pilkington Planar Activ is now available. It combines Pilkington Planar with Pilkington Activ allowing designers to create the first ever self-cleaning frameless structural glazing systems.
