ARIPLAK Solar Control Glass is produced by depositing one or more metallic layers onto the glass surface by means of high vacuum cathodic pulverisation.
This treatment is carried out at a low temperature, not affecting the flatness of the glass.
The sun has a surface temperature of 5,700 K. At this temperature it emits radiation whose peak can be found on a wavelength of 500 nanometres (central zone of visible radiation); this radiation is partially absorbed by the earth’s atmosphere.
The distribution of the remaining energy on the earth’s surface Ariplak Solar Control Glass allows greater control over light and energy transmission, and offers a wide range of aesthetic options.
In climate-controlled spaces, where air-conditioning is essential, it is advantageous to eliminate as much of the sun’s radiant energy as possible.
This multi-layered metallic coated glass provides the solution, along with subsequent energy savings.
When the coatings are combined with tinted glass, many different reflected hues can be created, making available a full range of colours and solar protection properties

Low-emissivity ARIPLAK Low E is a high performance glass.
In the manufacturing process, one or more layers of metal and metallic oxide are deposited on one of the glass surfaces by a process of high vacuum cathodic pulverisation.
This treatment is carried out at a low temperature, not affecting the flatness of the glass.

CLEARSHADEIGU SERIES
The Panelite ClearShade insulating glass unit was developed for exterior glazing applications using a tubular honeycomb core with patented polymer technology that offers superior shading performance. In addition to the benefits of visual privacy and a Visible Light Transmittance of up to 50%, the ClearShade IGU achieves a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient of 0.18 at midday, approximately 7 5% lower than that of other insulating glass units without the need for tinted, reflective or specialty glass. This dramatically reduces climate control requirements and results in significant energy savings over the life of the building.
The ClearShade IGU may be customized to meet a broad range of performance and aesthetic requirements.

Overview
UK's leading solution for thermal insulation in homes and public buildings, Pilkington K Glass is a low emissivity coated glass which is easily stocked, processed and installed. Pilkington K Glass has been established for more than 15 years making it the trusted solution for meeting energy efficiency Building Regulations.
Pilkington K Glass usually forms the inner pane of an Insulating Glass Unit (IGU) such as Pilkington Insulight Therm. The coating reflects heat back into the room whilst also letting in free heat from the sun known as passive solar gain. Pilkington K Glass helps windows to achieve high Window Energy Ratings to demonstrate compliance with energy saving Building Regulations Part L.
Benefits
Recognised by the Energy Saving Trust as a significantly effective measure for achieving energy efficiency hence savings on fuel bills.
Ideal for conservatories - helps to keep an unheated conservatory comfortable for a greater part of the year than ordinary double glazing allowing you to make the most of your conservatory all year round.
Helps to achieve high Window Energy Ratings when combined in a suitable framing system
Easily helps to meet and exceed the requirements of Building Regulations concerning energy efficiency
Can be toughened or laminated for safety and greater security.
Can be combined with other Pilkington products such as Pilkington Activ or Pilkington Activ Blue for self-cleaning and solar control

Insulating glass units (or "IG units") improve thermal performance by providing a thermal break - two or more lites separated by a sealed air space. This enables the glass to meet two very different requirements - keeping heat in during colder weather and keeping heat out during warmer weather.

Performances in terms of insulation, management of the solar contributions, and optimized transparency. By the research task carried out in the field of the ultra-selective layers, INTERPANE developed a generation of glazings which can from now on circumvent the difficulty in building frontages of glass without the interior of the building being penalized by temperatures as much excessive than unverifiable
