The Air/Water version of the Vitocal 350 achieves outputs of up to 20kW, even when the outside temperature is below zero
This model is perfectly suited to new build and to the modernisation of heating systems with radiators in existing buildings.
A particular benefit of this heat pump is that it exploits the energy source very easily. Collectors do not need to be buried and bore holes do not need to be drilled. It can be installed indoors or out and draws energy from the ambient air without the need for extensive installation work. known as aerothermic heating.
The Airwell RCH-V range of air-to-water heat pumps with boiler back-up enables this natural
form of heat energy to be transferred into the residential environment: energy saving, comfort

The Zehnder Comfosystems are fresh air systems that recycle approx. 90% of the heat in the exhaust air and use it to heat the fresh air. This saves considerable heating costs. An upstream earth heat exchanger pre-conditions the outside air. This increases the effective heat recycling efficiency by another 4 to 5 %.
The earth heat exchanger systems Zehnder ComfoFond use the slow-changing temperature of the earth in approx. 1.50 to 2.00 m depth. In winter, the earth has an approximate temperature of 8°C, and warms the air before it reaches the ventilation system. In summer, the earth temperature is approx. 12°C and the principle works in reverse. The warm outside air is cooled in the earth and directly piped into the house. This cooling effect makes it possible to keep the windows closed and to keep the warm air outside.

TERMEO - Dual water heat exchanger system
Ground heat is absorbed using buried loops, a system of plastic coils (cross-linked polyethylene) containing a mixture of water + antifreeze solution.
Three collector systems are available for all kind of external ground areas.
- The traditional horizontal collector will cover, depending of the climatic conditions, an area of 120 up to 150% of the floor surface area. The collector loops are buried 60 – 100cm below the ground.
- Vertical probe in case of very small or steeply sloping areas. Probe length could reach a 100m, even more.
- Ground water installations for small or sloping external areas. Underground water is taken from relatively shallow water reservoirs at a depth of 10 to 20 meters.
A hydraulic distribtution circuit transfers the useful heat into the house via a underfloor heating, radiatiors (maximum temperature of 47°C) or any other solution that uses hot water to transmit heat.

NATEA - the Total DEX technology (Direct Expansion)
Ground heat is absorbed using buried loops, a system of polyethylene-coated copper coils containing refrigerant fluid.
The loops are buried about 60 cm below the ground over a surface area that is 100% to 120% the size of the home to be heated.
The refrigerant fluid circulates continually through the outdoor and indoors coils. As the condensation process releases energy, the useful heat is transmitted by the loops in the home's flooring. The heating coils embedded in the floor are made of polyethylene-coated copper.
