The Online Architecture and Design Exhibition
A heat pump is a thermodynamic system that produces hot water for washing or central heating purposes, or hot air for heating. ArchiExpo offers a wide variety of aerothermal (air/water or air/air) and geothermal heat pumps.
This device is a heat transfer apparatus that uses a refrigerant. There are two types of aerothermal heat pump:
- Air/water models draw heat from the external air. This is used to heat water for space heating or hygiene.
- The air/air type draws heat from the exterior and uses a ventilation system to heat an interior space.
Geothermal heat pumps draw heat from ground water or the ground itself. In both cases, horizontal or vertical intakes transfer heat to the pump using a heat-transfer fluid. The pump concentrates the heat for re-diffusion into a water heating system for hygiene or central heating via radiators or radiant floor heating, or to individual fan-coil units.
