Knauf Insulation stone wool (also known as rock mineral wool) is branded as Heralan®, KnaufRock®, Nobasil®, Rocksilk®, Tervol® and finds its way into thousands of residential and commercial buildings as well as into industrial and OEM applications.
This material is also having an excellent combination of thermal, acoustic and fire insulation properties. Knauf Insulation stone wool products protect you from heat, noise and fire, providing you with:
Thermal insulation: energy efficiency in buildings is a key point to choose your insulation material. The heat conductivity is measured by the y factor where a lower value means a better thermal insulation. Stone wool is reducing the heat loss, which has a positive impact on energy efficiency and thermal insulation. Therefore it is important to apply materials in a way to avoid the condensation of water vapour in the construction, because it deteriorates the quality of insulation.
Acoustic insulation: sound is the result of the vibration of particles in an elastic environment. To ensure a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, Knauf Insulation stone wool is protecting you from air and impact sounds. The higher the acoustic absorption, the better the acoustic insulation. The acoustic elasticity properties of Knauf Insulation stone wool ensure a top-level acoustic performance. Fire protection insulation: Knauf Insulation stone wool is non combustible, which makes it perfect for fire protection.

Thermafiber® Safing™ Insulation is a mineral-wool-type insulation that resists temperatures up to 2,000°F (1,093°C) thus offering superior fire protection in a wide variety of fire-rated applications.
Thermafiber® Sound Attenuation Fire Blankets (SAFB) are the best way to stop sound in wall and floor-ceiling assemblies. Because this product is manufactured from slag, a by-product of iron ore reduction, and naturally occurring rock, the mineral fiber in these blankets are highly resistant to fire. Many of the systems this product is used in have high fire ratings as well as sound ratings.

The JACKODUR Atlas perimeter insulation system combines all the qualities expected of modern thermal insulation for use in passive-house design:
* Free from thermal bridges – Unlike standard construction work, where thermal bridges are usually suitable, thermal bridges are not acceptable in passive-house constructions. A thermal bridge is considered to be insignificant when Ψ ≤ 0.01 W/(m-K). JACKODUR Atlas is fully compliant with this requirement.
* Cost effectiveness – It combines thermal insulation with a formwork system, so that both are achieved in a single step. Stripping the formwork is not necessary. And this, together with the single-layer application, means significant time – and therefore cost – savings.
* Structural physics under control – Thanks to its unique connection system (patent pending), laying mistakes, and therefore thermal bridges, are eliminated, and a structurally correct single-layer application is guaranteed.
* Durable and secure – The tried-and-tested JACKODUR base material ensures that your building is durably insulated with secure foundations.
* Depending on the format desired, JACKODUR Atlas is available in 300, 500 or 700 kPa
JACKODUR Atlas is available as a complete system:
* made to measure according to your architect’s specifications
* essentially all geometries can be produced
* complete system delivered directly to the building site
* precisely tailored construction simply by following the detailed laying instructions supplied
* eliminates the need to adjust or cut to size
Alternatively, the elements can be assembled individually.

ISOTEC® is an insulating and structural panel, the below- tile-panel for new roofs and redoing old roofs.
ISOTEC® consists of an insulating core made of rigid polyurethane foam covered in water and flameproof embossed aluminium complete with a steel tile-bearing section.
Holes built into the section channel any leaks by the top roofing layer right into the eaves.
The holes ensure a perfectly ventilated roof.
The ISOTEC® panels can be laid properly thanks to their interlocking shape , thus providing a state of the art surface that avoids cold points.

ISOVENT-TOP®ventilated thermal insulators
The system provides thermal ventilation for civil and industrial roofs and, thanks to its sandwich configuration, offers considerable advantages both in terms of living comfort and easier tile laying.
The thermoventilated ISOVENT-TOP® insulator is made up of a shaped sheet of blue sintered expanded polystyrene, alternatively with added graphite (a material complying with EN 13163 standards), placed between a EUROSTRAND OSB panel and a plywood panel using phenolic glueing or a plasterboard sheet using glue with such physical and mechanical characteristics as to make the insulating component stick perfectly to the whole system.
The ISOVENT-TOP system proves to be practical and convenient. Its dimensions and technical characteristics make it similar to ISOVENT, with the added advantage of an exposed intrados. This leads to considerable savings in the laying of materials since we are dealing with a complete roof pack.
|
|
ISOSANDWICH® structural panel thermal insulator
A system used in flat roofs, pitched roofs or galleries. As well as a sandwich panel with a safely threadable surface, it provides a roof with exposed intrados, thermally insulated and ready for further work. The ISOSANDWICH system delivers excellent results thanks to its panel structure and composition.
ISOSANDWICH® structural panels are made up of a EUROSTRAND OSB panel coupled with a three-layer plywood or plasterboard sheet and a layer of insulating material in between. All materials comply with European regulations.
