A view to the North sea through a large bulls-eye with the sound of the sea – that is on offer in this kitchen of a holiday home in Cuxhaven.

Owners of this generously planned kitchen have chosen the strong orange from more than 1000 colours of the RAL-colour range. Now the whole room is bathed in a friendly light – even on cloudy days. Side support panels together with a higher-set bar counter of Robinia (locust) wood provide an interesting contrast.

The handle-less fronts of AVANCE have a particularly attractive bright, airy and light appearance in this open plan kitchen arrangement, incorporating a free standing “work isle” and a combined dining area. The glossy white AVANCE-KG and the striking graining of AVANCE-HI with its blue-grey stained ash complement each other into a harmonious overall appearance. The handle-less AVANCE was awarded the “red dot 2004”, a renowned international design prize.
Concentrating on the essential is the overriding concept of the kitchen model without handles, AVANCE FG which received the “red dot design award 2004” for outstanding design this Spring. Its personal hallmark: clean fronts undisturbed by handle elements. Even corner units can be planned in without handles. Floor units are available in two carcase heights (66 and 80 cm). Below the worktop of the 80 cm carcase is always a drawer. This can be either in the front colour or – for especially striking layouts – three dimensionally flush with the worktop and colour contrasting in high gloss zebrano-solid wood, for instance.

Lacquer
The decorative laminate surfaces offered by Poggenpohl belong to the group of hardest materials in use within furniture manufacture.
The high-pressure manufacturing processes adopted to form the laminate panels ensure their utmost suitability for use within a kitchen environment, resulting in resilient materials with high impact resistance. These materials are also easy to clean and therefore exceptionally hygienic. In addition, they are resistant to high temperatures and to exposure by water and steam.
The most important thing in the focus of perception. Light fronts with milled laminate edges underlining the minimalistic principle with their fine black grid.
Mirror-like brilliance. The solid panels in innovative acrylic materials are setting new standards in surface gloss. They are evenly coloured all the wy through an exhibit highly polished edges.
The hi-tech material demonstrates unequalled color stability and UV light festness. Containing neither solvents nur formaldehyd, it can, of, course, be easily recycled.

Despite its light weight, aluminium is a remarkably resilient material. It has a pleasant top surface, is easily adaptable in manufacture and takes care of the environment. The benefits of this remarkable material are fully exploited by Poggenpohl in a variety of ways.
With our +ALU2000® range, the very first aluminium kitchen from Poggenpohl, we’ve used this material across an even wider product area than ever. Door fronts and panels are coated in aluminium on both sides, with special anodised surfaces ensuring optimum efficiency of use.

Wood
Wood is not only one of the oldest materials used in furniture construction, it is also one of the most sensual. It has an inimitable tactile quality and exudes a natural warmth.
An expressive material, solid wood shows externally how it is made up on the inside. The manufacture of wood demands high-precision machinery and the highest levels of craftsmanship and expertise. The careful selection of grain patterns helps create a uniform composition within a wood veneer kitchen. In contrast to the cheaper layered veneers available, Poggenpohl uses only high-quality graded veneers.
