Chill Out – a furniture sculpture
Manfred Wakolbinger’s vivacious, futuristic sculptures have made him famous well beyond Austria’s borders. Wakolbinger’s first furniture piece for Wittmann is both sculptural and functional. The artist also drew inspiration from visits to the Orient and suites of the 1970s.
Chill Out has an exciting new look and invites you to explore new ways of sitting and reclining. As a sofa and double recliner it is a very communicative piece with room for several people. Chill Out is also available as a solo recliner for those who simply want, as the name suggests, to relax. The excellent workmanship is typically Wittmann. Each roll is individually worked into the covers of the seat and back by hand with painstaking care.
By including Manfred Wakolbinger’s Chill Out in its range, Wittmann is presenting an artwork that is pioneering in both visual and functional terms.

The Project consists of divan of metallic structure, made in stainless and upholstered cylinders together with the same structure. Like remarkable aspect, to indicate its streamlined and aerodynamic form, distinguishing from the rest of the present furniture. Without forget the really important aspect of the product, the ergonomics and functionality.
Destined a people who appreciate an excellent product, with an esthetical and innovation form, without forget the comfort. It is thought to be used in the habitat, in installations of different styles and atmospheres.
In his use, it has being used materials at the back zone and endorsement that allow the flexion backwards, according to the exerted pressure and its recovery once the user let to use it, obtaining an adaptation of the product for any person, independently of its weight and height.

Onda, sculptural piece that through its functionality is transformed into furniture. It is constituted in his use, a piece of relax for facilities terraces and any architectonic space that an art note deserves. Lofty is the result of manual work and advanced technology. Guess a sheet metal worker at the very beginning of the automobile industry era
together with sophisticated math calculations, laser cuts and then go back to welding machines and steel cleaners. Only by combining these two apparently diverging aspects was it possible to shape Lofty geometrically and make it. Drawings, calculations, models plus hundreds of hours for forming, joining and polishing with the greatest skills. The opportunity to recline in the open is a luxury established in biblical times, but in the contemporary urban environment that opportunity is limited not by social norms so much as practical availability of space. The Flipt presents itself in the unassuming size of a well proportioned lounge chair, and is content to reside in that mode without revealing its other identity. If opportunity knocks, however, it can double its length as a chaise-longue of sinuous comfort, again without discernable reference to its altered and more compact state. The means with which it hinges are internally integral, as is the attached pillow which supports the head in both configurations.
