Wash basin mixer, Ottavo stainless steel series. Designed by Hans Thyge Raunkjaer, studio RKDO Denmark: the body section create a simple "eight" shape, which reminds the natural image of a water drop. It is made of solid stainless steel AISI304, which features the highest level of corrosion resistance and is completely atoxic since it doesn't undergo any galvanic tratment, usual process on the brass built appliances.

Tha Panda range marks an historic turn point in the Cifial taps range, with the use of the monobloc system with ceramic cartridge.
This model has become an icon of Cifial, being represented in numerous design exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, Germany and USA.
It was finalist of the Good Design award in 1998 in the USA, having a permanent position in the exhibition at the Chicago Athenaeum Museum.
In 2003 it was selected by the Portuguese post office as being one of the most fundamental milestones of Portuguese design of the XX century for a stamp edition about the theme of design.
