An office partition is a wall or vertical panel used to separate office spaces. It may be freestanding, fixed, of varying heights and with or without viewing panels. Certain of these factors affect visibility and sound transmission between areas. There are different materials, styles, forms and colors. Such partitions are common in public or commercial open-plan buildings. Full-height, fixed partitions are often used to improve privacy and sound absorption in meeting and office areas.
