Safe-t-FLEX: The ultimate allergen free radiant ceiling furniture heating solution.
Using radiant ceiling heating, you can now experience allergen free heating in any building without the inconvenience, costs and unsightly service requirements of conventional heating systems.
The Safe-t-FLEX radiant ceiling heating system uses low temperature carbon film elements installed in the ceiling to give you natural, comfortable indoor warmth at low cost.
Safe-t-FLEX, unlike other systems, which heat and circulate the air by convection currents, uses a similar action to the sun to gently warm the surfaces, objects and the occupants of a room.
Safe-t-FLEX radiant ceiling heating offers many advantages over more conventional types of heating.
-No unsightly building pipes, chimneys, appliances, vents or fuel building storage tanks to complicate installation and take up valuable wall and floor space.
-No hot air ducts, hot surfaces, or risk of burns to children and the elderly.
-No unhealthy nitrogen dioxide emissions or fatigue due to lack of oxygen normally associated with portable gas heaters.
The flexibility of the system makes it easy, quick and economical to install by approved installers. It is equally suitable for new or refurbishment projects. Works just as efficiently for small rooms as it does for office buildings, shops or nursing homes.
Safe-t-FLEX radiant ceiling heating systems do not dry out the air. Most rooms contain millions of dust particles. Safe-t-FLEX heating systems operate with low surface temperatures, therefore no hot spots are created for dust to settle and dry out. The air feels fresher and warm air currents, which distribute dust, are eliminated.
Safe-t-FLEX also saves on energy costs by using high building insulation levels and the latest control equipment ensuring economic running costs are achieved.
Sensitive room thermostats controlled by timers provide daily or weekly programming to ensure that the heating is only used when required.

Safe-t-FLEX: The ultimate radiant floor heating solution and under floor heating technology.
Radiant Floor Heating is the new, easy, way to install comfortable under floor heating. Safe-t-FLEX is a new type of thin electric heating foil - just 0.3 mm - with a unique design furniture that makes it very easy to install. The thermal conductive carbon ink material, is designed in a parallel strip pattern to enable the foil to be cut every ten mm, this allows exact fitting of the floor area. Safe-t-FLEX comes in roll widths of 400 mm and 530 mm.
The radiant floor heating foil is dispatched in a roll ready for "on site cutting to size", slim crimp connectors are used for attaching the wires. The Safe-t-FLEX foil is then connected to your 240-volt supply and controlled by a thermostat with a remote probe.
Safe-t-FLEX is a reliable product that heats well over two million square metres of flooring around Europe. In addition, the heating foil offers environmental advantages, being halogen free; it is completely free from PVC and lead.
Ideal for new buildings and renovation
Safe-t-FLEX is ideal for new buildings as the radiant floor heating foil can be laid directly on the floor surface or preferably on 3-6mm foam underlay. This creates a buffer to "Heat Sink supplier" resulting in lower operating costs compared to conventional floor heating systems. Positioning of the heating foil is extremely easy as you use a "dry" method for laying, (No Glue or Screed). Safe-t-FLEX is also the perfect solution for renovation work as the 0.3 mm thick foil does not affect the installation height. Safe-t-FLEX foil is designed to be the perfect comfort heating solution to potentially cold fastened wood or floating laminate floors.

To select your Underfloor heating manufacturer you first need to measure your floor area (remember to deduct the area of any fixed objects, i.e. kitchen manufacturers units etc.) to establish the area to be heated in m2.
Secondly you need to select the type of heating required, e.g. "Living Areas, Bathroom Areas or In-Slab".
For living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, open plan rooms 130 W/m2 is recommended for comfortable heating levels where the system heats the tiles supplier and the room. Simply multiply the floor area to be heated by 130 this will give you the cable size in wattage required, then select from the "Living Areas" section on the Underfloor Heating pricing page.
For ensuites, bathrooms suppliers or laundries, due to the floor area being small relative to the room volume a higher wattage of 160 W/m2 is recommended. Simply multiply the floor area to be heated by 160 this will give you the cable size in wattage required, then select from the "Bathroom Area" section on the Underfloor Heating pricing page.
Remember you can always run a larger system at a lower setting but not the other way round, if in doubt then choose the next sized cable up and run it at a lower setting, it will give a better output and run more efficiently.
For in slab heating our Safe-t-SLAB cables are engineered to allow the spacing of the cable to match the reinforcement steel spacing (200 mm). This system is designed to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates at night and return the stored heat during the day. For more information on this please visit the In Slab Heating page.
Single or Twin Conductor Cable: The convenience of a twin conductor, means you can lay the cable without having to bring the other end back to the supply circuit simply because, this type of cable only has a single cold tail. This makes life easier and speeds up your installation process, particularly when using the Safe-t-MATs; The choice is yours.
Screened Cables: Normally used in "wet areas". Our bathroom cables have a teflon coated coaxial plaited screen for your safety and protection. 30 mA Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers (ELCB) or Residual Current Device (RCD) also protects circuits.

| Ideal for houses under construction or restoration. The system is supplied in heating mats 2.5m2, 3.5m2 or 5m2 to unroll on the ground. No more problem of placing or fixing pipes. With the recommended levelling compound, a cover of 1.5 cm (pipes included) is sufficient to benefit from the advantages of an under-floor heating system. Moreover, with the "Floor Box", you connect directly the under-floor heating circuit to the traditional central heating circuit. |

The overall size of the Vysa-MatTM Popular heating mats has been optimised so that they closely match the most common room sizes encountered.
Their specification is even superior to most others with an IP 67 rating that protects the heating cables in the event of short-term flooding under 1-m of water!
-Vysa-MatTM Popular heating mats rated 100W/m2 are generally suitable only for floor warming and comfort heating. However, larger areas in well insulated homes are often heated adequately using 100W/m2 - in well insulated Scandanavian houses they only use 80W/m2!
-Vysa-MatTM Popular heating mats rated 160W/m2 can provide primary heating for most medium sized rooms, including conservatories, where sub-floor building insulation complies with building regulations
-Vysa-MatTM Popular heating mats rated 200W/m2 can provide primary heating for conservatories and all but the smallest rooms in the house
We do recommend that Vysa-PronTM insulation is installed to reduce energy costs and improve warm up times.

Vysa-MatTMClassic is our latest building design of cable and incorporates PTFE (Teflon), which is far superior to any other material for electric underfloor heating applications, as the building insulation material. We now offer a 'lifetime guarantee' as Teflon is virtually indestructible.
The exceptionally small profile of the heating cable makes Vysa-MatTMClassic ideally suited to installation within the adhesive layer - the method preferred by professional floor tilers when laying ceramic tiles manufacturer.
The ultra thin Vysa-MatTM Classic heating mats rated 100W/m2 to 200W/m2 can easily be fitted directly onto your existing tiled floor without needing remove it. Vysa-MatTM Classic can be installed within the thickness of the tile suppliers adhesives and therefore adds no significant height to the floor level. Consequently, there should be no requirement to reduce professional door heights, raise skirting building boards etc.
Vysa-MatTM Classic heating mats rated 100W/m2 are ideal for refurbishment projects where they can be installed onto an existing floor structure
Vysa-MatTM Classic heating mats rated 150W/m2 would be suitable as a primary heating source in well insulated dwellings with a large surface area
Vysa-MatTM Classic heating mats rated 200W/m2 would be suitable as a primary heating source in not so well insulated dwellings with a smaller surface area. They are ideal for conservatories. large hallways and lobbies too - anywhere that you need more heat
According to BS EN 60 335 / IEC 335 Vysa-MatTM Classic 100W/m2 can be used directly on top of timber sub-floors without Vysa-PronTM thermal insulation. Vysa-MatTM Classic heating mats rated 150W/m2 can be used on timber sub-floors but BS EN 60 335 / IEC 335 recommends that the power rating must be confined to 100W/m2 unless you install Vysa-Pron thermal insulation on top of the timber sub-floor.
Normally, Vysa-MatTM Classic heating mats rated 100W/m2 would be chosen to simply provide a warm floor so that you have the comfort of walking on a floor that doesn't feel 'cold'.
Naturally, Vysa-MatTMClassic is a twin conductor design with a single 3 metre long 'cold tail' connections lead (only one connection cable to the thermostat).
Vysa-MatTMClassic is supplied together with a 2 metre length of 10mm flexible conduit for the floor sensor (supplied with the thermostats). We include a (red) bung in one end to prevent adhesive from entering the conduit and sticking to the floor sensor.
For the technically minded, Teflon is non-toxic and has excellent mechanical strength, tear resistance and flexibility. It is fire retardant and completely free from any thermal aging effects. It is completely biocompatible and unaffected by fungus, bacteria or mould growth. It is resistant to all chemicals used in building technology and is unaffected by prolonged exposure to UV radiation, sunlight and moisture.
