Side table.
An item of daily use that connects us with a not-so-distant past.
Tapete is one of those household items that you sorely miss when absent —something that’s always near and dear to us, essential to our well-being. With this design we hope to regain fondly-remembered elements like crocheted rugs, bringing them in line with modern taste and thereby keeping alive our love for the objects around us.

Design: Otto Sudrow, 1994/1995
Forget the idea that you have to look up to a
computer screen. It is more comfortable and
more ergonomic to look downward. That means
that the screen lies under the table surface.
This enables you to look from the keyboard to
the screen at a glance. This concept came
from Otto Sudrow in 1990.
Five years later Richard Lampert put it into pro-
duction. Once you tried out the Minic, you will
immediately enjoy the comfort this design offers.

Beta is a complete computer workstation and ergonomic desk. The surface, in natural oak or cherry, has no corners and is distinguished by a unique characteristic: it slides. And, as it slides, it uncovers a series of containers underneath where you can put objects that normally clutter the surface. This makes the entire surface usable. The computer monitor rests on an adjustable-tilt surface. The desk's structure is painted metal. The base contains a convenient shelf for computer peripherals: tower, CD-burner or other equipment, while the printer sits on a swivel base. The desk has swivel wheels, with a lever lock.
Given its exceptional functionality. Beta is a desk for all ages.
