Modern Ways
The upholstery fabrics of the “Modern Ways” Collection, besides being suitable for use in commercial facilities, offer a choice of impressive structures combined with appealing naturalness – the perfect symbiosis to reflect “The Modern Way of Life”.
The design is distinct for its skilful weave and yarn blend: “Style”, “Life”, “Art”, “Easy” and “Way” are interpreted as fleecy tweed, attractive bouclé, coarse weave, fine velour and richly varied multi-colour stripes.
Unobtrusive colours in numerous natural shades radiate cosiness and warmth, giving every room that certain touch.
All upholstery fabrics are strongly flame-retardant (Trevira CS), very hardwearing and simultaneously easy-care and stain-resistant. So they are ideal for use in both commercial and private facilities. |

Stars
A very special sense of charm is provided by the fashionable, three-dimensional draped fabrics of the STARS collection, which strike out because of their soft feel as well as the clever gloss and structural effects.
Four different designs were developed, inspired by famous film stars:
the flower design “Penelope” conveys natural charm and attractiveness;
the wave design “Scarlett” does not spare with impressions and changes its appearance and shine depending on the incidence of light;
“Charlize” with its animal print appearance can be used in many ways and combines sportive elegance with the glamour of Hollywood.
The plain satin “Audrey” in matching colours underlines the opulent style of Stars in an impressive manner.
Fashionable colours put the smart draped fabrics into the appropriate (spot)light:
Aubergine, the colour of the last Oscar night, is represented just as much as an elegant camel and a glamorous crème. Metallic colour tones in copper, bronze and silver are just as much a must-have as are a fiery red and a profound aqua.
Unlike retrospectively pleated materials, these extraordinary draped fabrics can withstand even excessive strain, as the woven folds do not change.
By using the special flame retardant fibre Kanecaron, the materials of the Stars collection are optimally suited for high-wear areas, but also fit into every home harmoniously. |

A decoration fabric with a crash pattern reminiscent of Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. Tatami CS provides the look and texture of taffeta and also its "changeant" but is made from 100% Trevira CS, meaning flame retardant properties. An interesting newcomer which allows especially extravagant decorations for contract use.

Looking at the Aloha Collection, you can almost feel the breeze through the palm trees, smell the salty air, and taste your Pina Colada while lying in a chaise on a tropical beach. The combination of bright colors, bold patterns and stripes distinguishes it from the crowd of outdoor/indoor textiles, and gives it the feel and flavor of a life lived by the sea. The Aloha Collection was the recipient of the Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in 2004.

| By design, Equinox renews the charm of semi-plains. The beautiful fabric weave is available in a mat or slightly shiny version, thanks to a metallic thread which gently catches the light. Resolutely fashionable. |

Climatex Lifecycle is a compostable biological nutrient (as defined by the MBDC Criteria), designed to turn back into the soil at the end of its useful life. Every dye chemical has been proven non-toxic. The water flowing out of the plant at the end of the manufacturing process is safe to drink, and all waste trimmings are pressed into felt, which is sold to farmers as mulch. Since introducing this first collection of Climatex Lifecycle fabrics, designed by William McDonough and Michael Braungart, Designtex has embraced the concept of “leadership not ownership” by making the construction available to the entire textile industry.
In 1995, Designtex set a benchmark for sustainable industrial design with the first Climatex® Lifecycle™ Collection. This was the first closed loop, Cradle to Cradle™ design for textiles introduced to the industry.
This NeoCon, as part of the innovative Environmental Design Collection, Designtex will be introducing three new Climatex Lifecycle fabrics. Tessin, Hess and Chalet are groundbreaking in their own right bringing luxury to environmental design. Technological developments have allowed for Climatex Lifecycle fabrics to become more sophisticated, appearing unlike previous Climatex Lifecycle fabrics. Inspired by the finest men’s suiting materials and refined shirt striping, these fabrics have an amazingly soft hand for Climatex products. The echoes of a classic suit are felt in the coordinating color palette, which ranges from tan neutrals to darker navy and maroon. |
