LÍPARI, VOLCANIC NATURE
The inspiration from the volcanic nature of Lipari, the Italian islands of northern Sicily, give fruit to a new work from Vives bathed in elegance and wisdom. The new series is a cutting edge product line with the intention of satisfying the decorative demands of the customer.
Lipari combines 30x60 and 60x90 porcelain pieces of various compositions. The first is the 30x60 Tirreno which is composed of 4 different designs great for decorating walls with murals. You will also find the Lipari 30x30 Mosaic (suitable for walls and floors) incorporating an aging process that mimics natural stone. Finally comes Mousai, a handmade 15x15 cm piece that celebrates the return of traditional ceramics and ancient murals.
This series from Vives Azulejos y Gres is available in white, cream and black, giving it an interesting contrast of textures and nuances that aesthetically enhance the product. Moreover, the diversity of formats enables many combinations that afford beautiful finishes to any space.

ARQUINIA, ARCHITECTURAL PORCELAIN
Architecture is the union of several modifications introduced in the terrestrial surface in order to satisfy human necessities.VIVES presents Arquinia, a series which tries to cover architects and other professionals on this field main decorative necessities. For this new series, VIVES has employed coloured porcelain to achieve a faithful reflection of industrial concrete, a material getting more supported every day thanks to its different finishes and textures.
Regarding concrete, we used to identify it with the grey suburb buildings or the impersonal urban pavements; images outside fantasy. Fortunately the designers and companies creativity has been used to change this popular element into an original product adapted to all tastes and uses.
Interior design offers solutions which cover the expectations of the customers. According to this, ceramic products have become one of the elements used to cover our constructive and decorative needs.
Arquinia series comes in two sizes, 60x60 (glazed) and 59,3x59,3 ( rectified glazed), 30x60 (glazed) and 30x30 mosaics (glazed). We can also emphasize its wide chromatic range including the warm colours Sand, Bone, and Musgo and the cold colours Grafito, Antracita, and Gris Cemento.

The Bosporus or Bosphorus is a strait that forms the boundary between the European part of Turkey and its Asian Part, diving Istanbul in two parts. As the only passage between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean, the Bosporus has always been of great commercial and strategic importance. Vives has been inspired in this emblematic place to create its new series Bósforo.
This series combines cultures, styles, projects, ... to obtain an original result. This qualities make it a versatile product able to create avant-garde environments. By using its mosaics (30x30 cm.) and its big sizes (45x90 cm.) you will obtain full of sensations and feelings spaces, and its decors (Maslak and Licia) can be used to create decorative and select environments.
Bósforo is presented in sizes 45x90 and 30x60 and with a wide range of colours including blanco, beige, noce, gris and negro, which make it suitable for every decorative need, from the living room of a house to the façade of a building, or even on the hall of a hotel.

KENION, INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY
This is the result of the continuous investigation and development in Vives laboratories and design department. Obtained by combining the experimental processes, the balance of the elements and its beauty. Kenion arrives, a new porcelain series with wide range of possible applications.
This is a High Tech product, clearly contemporaneous. Inspired in the concrete, a new decorative material that is becoming more and more popular in the interiors designs since this allows to create different finishes and textures. The raw material used for this product is the full coloured body porcelain, perfect to get a faithful reflection of the concrete.
This series sized 60x60 cm. (59,3x59,3cm.) and 45x90 cm.(44,3x89,3cm.) can be combined with original mosaics in 30x30 cm. It is presented in four colours: carbón, cacao, ceniza and albar, with an atemporal design that makes it suitable for different projects.

The Scandinavian woods are based in the Scandinavian design, an international referent in the modern design development. In this field, the human action and the handcraft work are the most important elements to create beauty in our lifes. Vives Azulejos y Gres has create its woods to achieve these objectives. Skandia is made out of the Feroe, Fionia, Kindia (60x60 cm.), Orsa and Arhus (45x90 cm. 14x90 cm. y 21x90 cm.) series, presenting different tonalities, textures and sizes which make them suitable for any setting. This is the reason why Vives describe its ceramic woods as Extraordinary Ceramic Wood.

TAU's marbles bring one of the great classic, historic home decoration products into the 21st century, but this time offering all the advantages of ceramics. This new idea has been designed in the form of a covering made of glazed, polished porcelain stoneware and its main appeal lies in its incredible sparkle, a spectacular finish of a kind which has never been available for the living environment before, opening up all kinds of new interior design and decoration possibilities.
Even so, the new range of marbles from TAU makes no concessions when it comes to being natural; this is one of the values defining and enveloping each and every one of the six collections on display. The TAU design department have been working incredibly hard to ensure that every line adheres to the original tonality of its model, adapting every chromatic variation to the graphic design which marks out the identity of each of the models.
So the collection comprises Beires, a cream-coloured product reproducing the warmth of the Almería desert stone; Massa, which stands out because of the smooth play of grey waters against the white bottom of the most classic of all Carrara rocks; the restraint of Portoro marble is reflected in the Samaná Negro series and the spectacular Samaná Grana. Last but not least, there are amber and green versions of the delicate Alenda series. All six of these products reproduce the strength and originality of nature in its purest state on their surfaces.

Corten Energy and Corten Night are two dynamic, forceful proposals for porcelain stoneware, which maintain the spirit of the Corten series, from the TAU Metálica collection, which takes on a new aesthetic form thanks to its inspiration by metals in their purest state. Unsurprisingly, as the Corten series is considered one of the most avant garde architectural and interior solutions which has generated the greatest repercussion since it was launched, thanks to its innovative aesthetic concept and exclusiveness, within the uppermost segment of the market worldwide.
Now, Corten Energy and Corten Night have been developed using new manufacturing techniques which can polish the material to lend it a special personality, with a fire-like appearance, while creating a highly particular iridescent effect which is one of its hallmarks. Both models are available in 45x45, 45x90, 60x60 and 30x60 formats, and in two finishes: natural and polished.

Colore is TAU Ceramics response to the architects’ demands when developing their ideas in new projects for façades, exteriors, and large-scale surfaces, which has detected a clear lack of chromatic diversity in the available supply. Faced with this situation, the trademark’s designers have developed a proposal with eight shades, undoubtedly one of the widest ranges in the market. Bright colours and acids contrast with other neutral tones, which permit 1,001 combinations. It is also possible to select a single colour based on the result that is sought in each of the designed applications. The pieces of this model have been created in the following formats: 40x40 and 60x60
Colore, due to the fact that it has been designed for use in exterior and high traffic surfaces, fully complies with the directives established in the Technical Building Code (CTE), a key factor in addition to the premium technical features involved in its creation.
The model fulfils the minimum standards in relation to its anti-slip and resistant qualities, which make it especially suitable for any type of open outdoor space where the product must withstand meteorological conditions, an aspect, which in turn, influences the users that must travel on this ceramic material.
TAU has also developed Colore in another option with the aim to adapt its aesthetic concept to the requirements of interior spaces and façades, which clearly demonstrates the versatility and creative capacity of this innovative proposal.

TAU has an extensive range of proposals specially designed to satisfy the demands and aspirations of all its users, an objective which has been made evident once more in the catalogue of novelties which the trademark will present from the 30th of September to the 4th of October in the Cersaie 2008 Trade Fair. In this sense, Palladio has a special relevance because it represents the international vocation of this company with its outstanding long-term performance.
Palladio is a polished porcelain tile which has been created by means of a very complex technical process, a feature which distinguishes it from the other products in the market. Austere, elegant, with a classic yet very avant-garde style, Palladio is a very exclusive product, ideal for refined, impeccably sophisticated atmospheres.
The proposal has a distinctive marbled nature, although its aesthetic finish is the result of the technical and artistic treatment of fossilized stone, which in this case has served as its source of inspiration. Likewise, the piece’s surface has thousands of fine gold inlays, which sparkle with golden highlights in the light’s reflection.
The result is a smooth balanced blend of natural veins, contrasts, tones, and ever-changing chromatic shades, which is always refreshingly new. Palladio has been developed in six colours, which can all be combined with each other, hence multiplying the finish options.
In order to expand this collection, TAU completes its offer with the Livorno series, a model inspired by the calacatta type marble, which when used as a coating, significantly enhances the aesthetic finish of Palladio.

Deco represents the most avant-garde proposal by TAU and has become one of its most outstanding contributions to the Cersaie 2008 Trade Fair, where it occupies a high-profile section in its stand. The model has been inspired by Zebrano wood. A material with very well-defined tones, which TAU Advanced, the trademark’s creativity and design forum, has enhanced by contrasting them in multiple directions on the piece’s surface, with a captivating and original aesthetic result. Deco is also available in a white, brown, or black version, which can be easily combined with each other, to strengthen its aesthetic effect.

Bera represents TAU’s most classic format; it is a product that has been designed in different shades and multiple formats to permit a wide range of applications including small boards and strips, the latter for the most cutting-edge aesthetic proposals, especially created for wall coverings.

Galena has advanced one step further towards the modernisation of wood as a coating for indoor spaces. This proposal is a lacquered and aged ceramic log, with a slight metallic shine which creates a surprising display of light and small reflections which make it truly innovative. The selected tones are also very appealing, (white, green and grey) a refreshing change from the more traditional concept of wood.

The catalogue of new items which TAU is to present at Cersaie 2009 also includes such interesting products as Mythos, a porcelain stoneware which imitates the purity of classic pentelic marble, in order to capture and materialise the essence of nature in ceramics. Refined, elegant, pure, reserved but always beautiful, Mythos is available in two versions, polished and natural, which lend it an incredible resemblance to the model on which it is inspired. Mythos is available in 25x36, 45x45, 45x90 and 60x60 formats and five chromatic tones.Also noteworthy is that TAU has designed Corten Energy and Mythos in the TAUfine version, the new ultrafine and light porcelain which reduces the thickness by over 50% compared to the traditional models, bringing it down to 5 mm. This is an innovative proposal, ideal for rehabilitation and architecture. TAUfine is a commitment to ecology, cost saving in materials and at the forefront of construction, in line with the R&D&I which TAU has used since its beginnings and which have made it a worldwide benchmark.

Materia is a light, composed collection, available in 4 sizes and 2 thicknesses: 10 mm for the 60x60 cm slabs, and 4.8 mm for the 90x45,90x22,5 and 90x11,25 slabs. Especially deserving of attention is the "design" decoration, created using a completely new type of technology and in line with the upcoming trends in interior design. Materia: Simple.Elegant.Innovative. Extraordianry. Slabs with a thickness lower than 5 mm can be laid over existing floors, thus making renovation work and laying much easier, not only floors, but in particular on walls.
