We can explain the large use in the contemporary building stock of the prefabricated hollow core floor slab with all the various advantages it can offer: it has a high adaptability to the functional exigencies, it is guaranteed to be totally self-supporting in any phase of handling, transport, erection and works in place that eliminates any support work, finally it has excellent soundproofing properties.
Furthermore the hollow core floor slab is a very light element that can be erected very rapidly. A technical simple and economically beneficial solution is the production of base slabs and crawl spaces with BRESPA®-Isodecken. In the plant, the floor is directly cast on the polystyrene-insulation. In doing so, the concrete and the polystyrene are jointed inseparably. Thus, fitting accuracy is guaranteed and sliding avoided. This fast construction method becomes even more interesting, the thicker the insulation is underneath the bottom slab and the more important thermal bridge free building envelopes become.

With BRESPA® climate floor, the thermal mass capacity of concrete is utilised to cool and heat rooms. Water circulating in a tube system in the lower flange of the slabs has a balancing effect on room climate conditions. Furthermore, the covers 35 %u2013 45 W/m² peak loads and constant loads. This reduces heating installation and operating costs.
BRESPA® climate floors are available in thicknesses of 20, 26 and 32 centimetres. Depending on the floor thickness and the loads, spans up to 12 metres are possible without intermediate supports.

Almost all our standard cross sections can be used for BRESPA® Ventilation Floors. The principle is simple yet brilliant: the voids are coated and used as aeration channels. Exhaust and fresh air valves are placed directly into the soffit of the floors. Additional aeration channels for lateral distribution are therefore not required below the ceilings. Room and building heights can be reduced.
It is important to decide early for the application of BRESPA® Ventilation Floors, to use these ceilings soon, because this will influence positively a multitude of decisions for other areas of your building.
