This armchair is a symbiosis of all those elements that determine our innermost being. But it is not a question here of „To be or not to be?“ - what this furniture so probingly demands is: „Am I or aren’t I?“ For the DS-225 enables us to feel what we could be: relaxed! In some way it is an allegory of earth, water and air. We encounter the union of these elements when we sit or recline in the DS-225. Attractively integrated laminar chambers, which pneumatically inflate and deflate in response to remote-controlled commands, create a pleasantly soothing massage effect, while an ingenious heating system warms the body and provides a vital interface between person and chair. Were you to take advantage of all the refinements it offers, you would soon begin to lose touch with reality and drift just that little closer to heaven. Despite its technical complexity, the armchair is a creative triumph that unites outstanding materials and matchless craftsmanship. It is a kind of perpetuum mobile, an effortlessly gliding swan whose grace touches the precision mechanism of our soul so that we gradually leave earth's gravity behind us and float up to cloud number nine: forget what you know - all that counts is what you feel ... a dream in which to lose oneself.

Pilot JR-7860 is a contemporary, elegant supplement to our existing collection.
Because our customers are so unique and different, Verhaert New Products designed this chair with infinitely many possibilities. The curved, metal and tubular armrests are largely made of leather and the ends and the supporting structure of the arm rests are available in three finishings: inox polished and white or black lacquered (epoxy). In order to personalise this design, there are also five different foot finishings available.
As if this is not enough, Pilot is also available in two completely different versions:
Pilot Zip with zip on the contours of leather covering and with the choice between a black and white zip for a contemporary look or Pilot Pipe with subtle little piping on the leather covering, which makes the design less eye-catching and gives him a more classical feeling. Besides the form, the comfort is of course also important. Therefore the seating comfort can be adjusted in three different positions according to the preference of the users: -2 cm, standard or high. Shortly, Pilot is the relax chair you would design for yourself, but because we want to make things easily for you, we did it gladly for you. The only thing left to do, is choose.

The aluminum supports, placed along both sides of the chair, are machined with the advanced technology of CNC .This process allows to model the aluminum alloy profile with extreme precision. The aluminum is further given an electrochemical treatment to harden the outer surface that gives the alloy more resistance to nicks and scratches as well as a brilliant silver finish.
The mechanical heart of the chair is made up of a rocking mechanism that applies to one’s back, a soft and constant force. This bilateral pressure is obtained by the use of two springs that work in torsion incrementally, therefore transmiting these forces to the lateral supports.
The under-structure is made up of six distinct mechanical parts, all of which are constructed in stainless steel with the highest of mechanical precision in order to avoid creaking
The backrest has an angular movement of thirteen degrees at the end of which a sturdy limiting device blocks over rotation and positions the center of gravity at the base, thus avoiding dangerous inclinations and instability
The extreme strength and dimension of the mechanical parts of this chair are needed because about 50% of the torsional, static, and dynamic loads caused by a person sitting in the chair are directly applied to the structure.
