A rectangular bathtub may be ideal for both small and large bathrooms, whether-built-in, sunken or free standing. Its regular shape is suitable for corner installation and its flat surface facilitates addition of shower screens and other accessories. These tubs come in a range of materials, including acrylic, enamel, copper, stone, cast iron or even wood. While acrylic retains heat well and tends to be less expensive, enamel is easier to clean and more scratch resistant.
Ensure that tub dimensions leave enough space for circulation in the bathroom. Consider how the bath will be used and the level of comfort required. A rectangular tub with generous dimensions may allow a user to lie down comfortably. It may even be suitable for more than one person.
Consider how the materials and style will fit within the bathroom and how much maintenance is required. While a wooden bath may offer superior comfort and add a natural touch to the room, it may be difficult to maintain and less durable than other types.
