J16 is a classic among the many rocking chairs which Hans J. Wegner designed over the years. The chair was introduced by FDB Furniture in 1944 and has been in production ever since. Wegner stresses the importance of freedom of movement and ergonomics in his chair design – features particularly embodied by the rocking chair. To accompany the rocking chair, Wegner designed a footstool, a seat and back cushion as well as a neck support. Both the rocking chair and the footstool sport hand-woven seats in natural paper yarn. Also available in beech and oak - untreated, soap treated or lacquered and black-lacquered oak.

A true modern classic. A new example of traditional craftsmanship applied to modern design. The shell is made from curved multi-ply beech wood, while the feet are made from fine steam-curved solid oak with an aged walnut finish. The perfect balance of lines, curves and thicknesses is thanks to the skilful manual techniques which feature the use of the Pelle Frau® leather from the Color System range, Heritage leather or RAF leather for the seat upholstery. The headrest cushion is height-adjustable.

But the Gravity balans® is not just a recliner. Its range of seating positions support every activity, whether you are enjoying coffee with friends, or relaxing in front of the TV. It tilts forwards to accommodate the balans® kneeling posture, backwards to allow you to place your feet on the floor and further back still so you can curl up, resting both feet on one leg cushion.

Rocking relax armchair with three elements; the outside element in cold processed polyurethane foam with metal basement included. the metal frame has an extra weight in order to maintain the armchair in the correct position. The middle and inside element are in cold processed polyurethane foam. The cover cannot be taken off.
