Description
The 2008 show will witness the presentation of the Tropicalia collection, the design of which starts off from the same structure as the Antibodi collection, though using weaving techniques.
The collection comprises a chaise longue, couch, armchair, chair, outdoor bed, swinging nest....
The design envisages a tubular steel structure with complex geometrical shapes, embellished with a clever weft of threads that alternate solids and voids to a specific pattern, paying meticulous attention to detail.
Each object in the collection takes on a different personality depending on the material and the colour used. It can be made playful and cheerful by using thermoplastic polymer threads free of heavy metal and recyclable, sophisticated and precious by using leather, simple and elegant by using HT polyester double plaited cords in either one or two colours.
The coloured versions are made using three threads combining different colors and creating interesting colour mixes.
Structure
Base in stainless or varnished steel, seat made of string weave available in 3 different versions:
- polymer
- polyester HT
- leather

Description
Stainless is a new collection by Enrico Franzolini, who also designed Moroso's best-selling Steel range seen in the world's top hotels and other prestigious settings. Stainless was designed with the contract environment in mind but it would also be perfect for the home.
Stainless's design is new and modern, clean and simple, elegant and discreet.
"The Stainless collection for Moroso features a flat-bar steel trim outlining the chairs' load-bearing side panels. A clear reference to the Steel collection, designed in the '90s, with its visible, load-bearing steel square-tube frame. The Stainless collection is therefore designed to create continuity with and provide a perfected, lighter look of a seating collection valued for its understatement, elegance and durability".
The collection is composed of a sofa, armchair, lounge chair, chair and stools.
With Stainless, Moroso continues its R&D aimed at guaranteeing finely-detailed, superior quality articles while preserving aspects of craft production which add a special touch to its products and make them unique.

"Distinctive taste has always been a little more expensive." Reemtsma 1965. ELVIS. Design: Kurt Müller, Daniel Leist. Form and function that transcend conventional boundaries. The ELVIS cantilever chair has what it takes to attain classic status. The design of the load-bearing structure, based on square-section steel profile, achieves a style that is unique for this type of chair. The comfortably upholstered seat bucket is soft, yet provides the necessary back support. Dimensions have been chosen for an optimal "swing" effect. ELVIS was devised and developed as a deliberate mix of innovation and pure seating delight. ELVIS departs from the average - out of conviction, rather than compulsion.

simple wired
design Gabriele Pezzini
Wired belongs to Simple family: a range of furnishing accessories – tables, chairs, stools – based on extreme constructional simplicity.
This design approach is rendered in a collection with functional and aesthetic quality offered at reasonable prices.
The design is inspired by an ironic reflection on nature and the use of products: the subdued yet readily communicative design aims at establishing an emotional type of relationship between the objects and those using them.

The backrest has a flexible joint to increase comfort when leaning backwards. Seat and back cushions are detachable, washable and can easily be changed.
Actulum™ has wooden runners, which means that you are balancing while sitting. It encourages active sitting and responds to the body’s movements. It follows your body from leaning backwards to forwards, providing support for arms and elbows. The runners may also function as a support for the feet.

Chairs are never an easy task for designers. Gioia Meller Marcovicz has risen to the challenge from Wittmann and created D.O.C. — a line of chairs with an innovative formal language that will win it many admirers. The range comprises a cantilever chair, available with or without armrests, and two swivel chairs.
The cantilever chair marries a well upholstered square seat with a delicate, arched back. The result is a comfortable piece that nevertheless makes a light, dynamic impression and gains added appeal from its well thought-out details. For instance, the backrest is visually highlighted by a quilted leather cover, stretched over elastic backing. The specially finished leatherwork also provides outstanding comfort. The skilfully designed armrests are perfectly angled to complement the line of the backrest. D.O.C.’s distinctive design and comfort suits it to both prestigious architectural settings and the home.
