materials and are suitable for many different types of buildings. Sliding shutters can be integrated into a project during the early design stages.
SLIDING SHUTTERS
• The fins in the aluminium extruded frame are available in two materials,
aluminium and Western Red Cedar wood
• A variety of 6 fins of different shapes, 5 in aluminium and 1 in Western
Red Cedar
• Finishing options:
- Aluminium frames and fins can be anodized or powder coated in a wide
range of colours
- Western Red Cedar is a durable wood, which can be used untreated or
oiled
• Frames, which form the casing of the shutter and carry the fins, vary in
dimension depending on the wind loads and fin type
• Fins can be applied in either a fixed or an adjustable configuration
• Top and bottom rails, runners and necessary hardware are part of the
system
• Various rail brackets permit easy installation

The shutters have a slim top and bottom rail mechanism. Completing the system with top runners, bottom runners and end stop, ensures smooth running at all times.
Various aluminium extruded or Western Red Cedar wooden fins are fitted in this frame with Hunter Douglas® proprietary parts. The centre to centre distance between the fins may be varied to achieve the required shade angle or to allow more natural daylight into the building interior.

A shutter consists of one or more panels in which louvers are mounted. You can choose from three louver widths: 47, 63 mm and 89 mm. The width that is best for you will depend on the size of your window opening and the atmosphere you wish to create. Generally speaking, the wider the panel the wider the louver and the more modern the overall look. It is possible to close off the light strip between two panels with an astragaal side stile. This provides even more light exclusion, and a feeling of privacy.

Round or angled … shutters are perfectly suited for windows with unusual shapes. The special shape of the window remains in view, but the light can still be kept out.

The Schüco ALB sliding blade system provides ideal screening and solar shading for windows in homes and offices alike. The sliding shutters have an architecturally sophisticated style and are easy to operate.
The systems consist of a fixed frame, into which the three different louvre blade types can be installed as infills. The complete unit moves parallel to the window and can therefore align itself according to the actual position of the sun.
Many RAL and anodised colours are available to help you customise you surface finish.

Shutter with fixed or adjustable strips, for exterior use, Luith all opening options and siuift assembly. The new system is 48 mm in the frame and 40 mm in the leaf. Plumb on the exterior and overlapping on the interior. Fitted with a special, non-European chamber. The leaf has no wing to ease functioning and avoid the inverter. In the central core, however, it is essential to fit a foldawau section for shade.

Through intelligent system technology we have been able to develop folding shutters - the result is a perfectly functioning power transmission concept, which can automate up to 8 leaves per unit (four leaves to the left and four to the right). The unit operates quietly and smoothly, and its components are neatly out of sight. Only the motor box (ca. 70x70mm) and the rails (ca. 30x30mm) are placed over the shutters.
Thorough pre-assembly of the compact unit guarantees quick installation and is available for every model type. We have the only European-wide patent

The K60 series, projected to realize shutters with book and packet system, keeps the qualities of the adjustable shutters, satisfying the different climatic and territorial demands.
Series of special sections of KIKAU exclusive production, allow to realize shutter with book system (up to 16 wings) and packet system (up to 6 wings), with the minimum encumbrance. Particular accessories and hardware allow rapid, sure and guaranteed operations in the time. The aesthetics of this model, Original KIKAU, was born from a careful search of dimensions and forms in the respect of the traditional ones in wood.
