The supporting frame is in solid wood, multilayer and agglomerate wood. The spring system of the seat and back is composed of elastic belts. The backrest has an exclusive patented movement, that allows “to recline itself” in footrest, with a supporting frame in metal section varnished. The padding is made of C.F.C. - free non-deformable polyurethane foam in differentiated density with Waterlily and fibre 100% polyester. Feet are in solid wood grey polished; for the modular version, the junction between the elements, is done by the feet. Save-covers are available in addition, to protect the covering in the most vulnerable point. The bridge shaped little table and armrest holder are in wood agglomerate with veneering in oak grey dyed. Completely removable-covers, except for the footrest levers.

The model is available as first, 2-seater and 3-seater and pouf Ottoman. Each seat has individual adjustment. The model comes with ABC™-function (ActiveBodyComfort). The head rest will automatically be adjusted to allow a horizontal vision (for reading or watching TV). It can also easily be adjusted to any inclination as far as horizontal position (sleep). The head rest is height adjustable. The model comes in a variety of qualities in leather and fabric, and in eight different wood colours.

Clyde sofa system was developed especially for the BBC to furnish its new building on the banks of the Clyde in Glasgow. It has a higher and shallower seat than our portion sofa system and provides a more upright but comfortable sit. Clyde is defined by its distinctive profile; this is then complimented by the luxurious and comfortable buttoned seat. The four sizes allow various configurations to be created, which can be finished with the generous arm unit, or left open to expose the light form. Clyde ’s extruded concept allows the system to continue on and on, or perform as a generous arm chair.

Design Story
Molded plywood carries an immediate association with classic Herman Miller designs, and Mark Goetz, principal of TZ Design in New York City, skillfully and creatively incorporates this material in his sofa design. While traditional construction consists of a wooden frame with padding and upholstery applied over it, the Goetz sofa turns tradition inside out, since its plywood shell is clearly visible as both an aesthetic element and a structural frame.
The sofa's practicality extends to one of its most important features--comfort. Goetz conducted his own research and consulted with other experts to arrive at a seat depth that gives ergonomic support as well as room to lie down.
