The Maniva, from which this stone takes its name, is a ridge about 1860 m above sea level in the province of Brescia. The morphology of the mountainside is generally uneven with alternating gentle and steep downward slopes, with outcrops and morainic debris, molded over millenniums by wind and ice. It requires a longer application time than the others yet looks strikingly similar to the original stone. The surface, with its clearly defined facets, creates tricks of light and shade that are well suited to contemporary projects such as conservation work on old buildings. It can only be applied dry and in horizontal layers.

Fiume means 'river' in Italian, and like the rivers and mountain streams this stone generally has a spherical / egg shape. This shape is the result of millions of years of being smoothed by running water and sand, and by constantly rubbing against other stones. The colors vary from light grey to purplish blue. This stone can be applied as a single model but lends itself more to mixtures of different stones in order to create beautiful mosaics for cladding. Application using mortar only.

AIALE
This is a cladding originating in the hills of Valtrompia in the province of Brescia. If you walk along the verdant woods on the mountain that overlooks the small village of Aiale you can make out, submerged in the vegetation, what used to be a very old local activity - quarrying lime. In these old circular kilns made entirely of local stone, they used to bake quoins of 'Dolomia' stone in order to extract lime.PietraElite AIALE is irregular like magma and tufo. It is perfect for covering small recesses inside buildings but also for large external surfaces. It is laid using the "opus incertum" (uncertain work) system.
The shapes of reconstituted stone are not in relation to coWithin a composition, the colors can be mixed with each other in accordance with the client's wishes, and are supplied individually.
Internal production means that models and colors can be created and supplied on request or customized, for quantities over 100 meters.
The photos of the stone in this catalog are as faithful to the original colors as the Web will allow.
The colors in the photos may appear slightly different due to different light conditions relating to when and where the photo was taken.
Variations in color may be the result of manufacturing procedures, variations in temperature and humidity. As with quarried stone, colors may vary slightly after exposure to the atmosphere.
