simple moving
design Gabriele Pezzini
Moving belongs to Simple family: a range of furnishing accessories – tables, chairs, stools – based on extreme constructional simplicity.
This design approach is rendered in a collection with functional and aesthetic quality offered at reasonable prices.
The design is inspired by an ironic reflection on nature and the use of products: the subdued yet readily communicative design aims at establishing an emotional type of relationship between the objects and those using them. |

The 10 DEGREE stool is available in a range of colours or upholstered in a range of contract fabrics or leathers.

The H STOOL comes out of a study directed to rivisit the ipe beam with the purpose to adapt to the present a past’s element, to recall and mantain the classicality and history. An ipe lacquered wood or steel beam, leaned with sinuosity on the house’s or local’s floor, on the superior side a stuffed and hollow sitting with leather or fabrics. The H STOOL originates with an aim, the communication. It has been projected, infact, by Filippo Ghezzani to receive two/three persons. |

You can stow away this stool and this table in a cupboard or hang it on the wall where it is very decorative. It folds away neatly to a thickness of only 2.4 cm. It is so versatile that there is always a place or occasion where it can come in useful: at a party, outdoors when tending a barbeque grill or even while waiting in a queue!
Although its sensational folding system employs no fixtures or hinges, the stools and tables can be easily opened out or folded with just one hand. So, in an instant, our folding seat transforms itself into a most practical and attractive piece of designer furniture! The material commonly used in its manufacture is resopal-coated 3F-board, a foldable basic material whose main characteristic is its pliable middle layer, which is inserted between two wooden boards. In the processing of this multi-layered board, the flexible middle layer can be laid open and can act as a rotary axis or swivel pin. Moreover the 3F-board, in spite of its lightness, can match the strength of materials used in any other common furniture of this kind. Light-weight and space-saving, both the stool and the table are nevertheless of extreme stability (load capacity 140 kg) and are therefore durable. Folded it 1,000,000 times and TÜV tested. The stool withstood the impact without problem.

The edge grain construction and pegged mortise and tenon joinery, result in lasting quality and an exceptional level of detail. The new life of the oak will provide decades of enjoyment indoors or out. Perfect as a set or utilized individually.

| There is certain furniture that plays a decisive role in moulding the character of a room. What, for instance, would a bar or a club be without its stools? Would such animated discussions take place at the bar or would the general clubbing and lounging activity be observed so comfortably were it not for the ideal vantage point afforded by the stools. No other form of seating offers the unique combination of comfort, compactness and ease of movement. These are the ideal prerequisites for use in a communicative environment. And in combination with first-class design, a stool becomes not merely a highlight in functional, but also in visual terms. A place in this category surely belongs to the de Sede DS 218 stools created by acclaimed designer and architect Paolo Piva. The DS-218 represents the essence of Paolo Piva's design philosophy in concrete form: it offers no optical gimmickry, but instead concentrates on clear-cut structures, cubist forms, straight lines and a minimalist selection of materials. Available in two versions, these stools have totally different characters despite their having identical dimensions. |

Designed by Philippe Starck — 2002
The prototype version of this stool was first used in 2001 for the Mies van der Rohe retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City for a recreated cafe that Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich originally designed, a beautiful space with waving curtains. The museum selected these stools as pieces that might have been chosen by Mies van der Rohe today. |
