We currently offer two Performance Series options, UltraBlock® and WaterBarrierTM Technologies. The combination of these two technologies creates a door suited for the toughest exposures. And this protection is delivered without sacrificing the charm and craftsmanship you've come to expect from a Simpson door. After all, a beautiful door is only worth having if you can protect it.

We've made creating a unique, signature door a smooth, simple process. It all begins with a few key selections you determine are best for your needs. Then, using the design, species, and dimensions that you specify, Simpson can create your masterpiece. Whether we construct your door with veneer and engineered core components or laminated lumber, we will incorporate both technology and beauty into your individual design.
Once you have a design, you can then select the species of wood that is the best match, whether a classic favorite or something more exotic. We work with dozens of wood species from around the world, including: fir, hemlock, pine, knotty pine, cherry, maple, walnut, oak, mahogany, knotty alder, poplar, birch and white birch.
Whatever the species used in Simpson Custom Doors, it must meet strict grading standards before being accepted. For instance, we use only color matched Cherry that is all heart with no sap. The beauty of cathedral grain patterns are retained for parts over 26" long and 4" wide. Veneered panels are slip matched to further enhance the consistent appearance. Maple is another good example, since we only use hard rock maple that is uniform in color.

Door panel above and below, with an artistic rectangular glass in-between, made with fragments of coloured glass and enclosed in a double pane.
Made with the tecnique of mosaic work, through the assembly of flakes, crumbs, dowels and powder of coloured glass. The work comes out from the approach of pieces and from the superimposing of glass material. In this kind of glasses ligh interacts in decisive way, in fact, it creates suggesting contrasts between lighted and no lighted fragments. Any works is unique, in fact it's handmade by the artist.

PETRA. Inspired by the past and looking to the future.
"PETRA" is the name of the new collection created by Brizzi + Riefenstahl Studio.
The language of this new door is simple and straightforward, the styling is extremely clean, and the material used - wood - is proposed in truly unprecedented combinations: wood is mated to cement finishes and the colour scheme relies on brilliant, translucent hues. Finally, the conceptual idea behind the new models is aptly conveyed by the name of the collection: "Petra, inspired by the past and looking to the future", an approach that is fully consistent with the start of the second half century of life of Acem. |
