It reflects the research, which was being carried out at that time, into pure and simplified shapes deriving their image from rigorous geometrical relations and from the use of "classical" materials, in which the finishing and the manufacturing played an essential role. The totally innovative double working characterises these two project for the garden. Bicolour combination playing the contrast between stand and diffuser. Lady Mary (right) is a flower whilst Lady Jane (left) is a big abat-jour. Irregular engraving is the essential feature of these lamps, making light filter as a decoration. Realised thanks to a designer’s creative method; Serralunga developed and patented.
