How to choose this product

A wall sticker, or decal is a design element which may be stuck to a wall or ceiling. It is easy to apply and represents a quick way to refresh decor without completely redecorating, an advantage over other wall treatments. It also can serve as a room's focal point. Stickers are particularly useful in rented spaces which often restrict modifications to existing wall finishes.

Applications

Stickers are common in children's bedrooms, living areas and commercial and office spaces due to the wide variety of motifs and graphic styles available. While many standard designs are available, some can be customized with text or motifs. They can be used to frame furniture or be a work of art in itself.

Technologies

These stickers are often ready to use and made from washable vinyl. Large motifs may be divided into separate sheets for easy transportation.

How to choose

Ensure that the position and detail of the sticker complements the style for the room. For example, a sticker with excessive detail may look too busy if surrounded by ornate furniture. A bold sticker in a minimalist room can constitute an attractive centerpiece.

Consider whether the sticker needs to be reusable and verify that it will not damage the underlying wall finish. Favor removable stickers for a child's room, so that they can be changed to match evolving tastes.
