The Online Architecture and Design Exhibition
A wooden stool is a mobile seat which may be designed for indoor and/or outdoor use. Its advantages include its natural grain and the decorative finish or texture of the wood. On ArchiExpo, these items are categorized by properties such as style or type of wood.
This furniture can be used for extra seating in the home or temporary seating in multipurpose spaces or public institutions such as schools and libraries. It may also serve as a side table. Some are stackable or folding. Certain designs are unique or artistic.
Solid wood, engineered or veneered wood products are used to manufacture these stools. Some are made using dovetailing, mortise and tenon or other traditional joinery techniques. Thermo-bending, laser cutting or CNC milling are often employed in the case of engineered and veneered wood models.
Consider the number of stools required, where they will be stored and what they will be used for. Multiple stools in high-traffic environments usually must be robust, easy to maintain, stackable, light and easy to store. More comfortable and individual designs may be favored for home use.
