How to choose this product

A wooden table may be designed for interior or exterior use and may be made from solid wood, veneered plywood, MDF particleboard or other products. On ArchiExpo, this furniture is categorized by properties such as style, type of table, or wood type.

Applications

These tables are found in both residential and commercial environments for work or play, or to hold display items or eat meals. There are different styles and colors, forms and finishes, both natural and synthetic, including laminates and paint.

Some models have integrated lighting, storage, planters or seating. Others are folding, modular or stackable for easy storage or to free space for other activities. Wood is a renewable resource, another advantage.

How to choose

Ensure that table dimensions and wood type are suitable for its purpose. An outdoor model should be weatherproof and resist UV damage and rot. In public spaces, weight and rugged construction will help prevent damage from abuse. The wood may require special coatings or finishes to protect it from staining and other problems.

Style can be chosen to match or contrast with chairs and other furniture. While an ornate dining table can constitute a great centerpiece in a neutral space, it will be less noticeable in a complex or busy decor.
