A wooden wardrobe is a tall piece of furniture with one or more doors which is designed for storing clothing. ArchiExpo offers these items in various stylistic categories (traditional, contemporary, etc.) and by wood type.
The wardrobe is usually placed in a bedroom, standing against or set into a wall. Configuration and accessories vary: mirror, sliding hanging bar, shelves, drawers, tie racks, shirt organizer, shoe compartments, etc. Such an arrangement provides compact storage for a variety of clothing.
This furniture is usually tall with a single interior space closed off by double doors, which can be swinging, sliding or pivoting. It can be made of solid wood or veneer over plywood, blockboard, MDF or pressboard, and can be lacquered, stained or painted.
Criteria include aesthetics, room ambiance, budget, available space, storage and organizational needs. A wardrobe may set the tone for a room. If it is too tall or too wide, it will make the room feel cramped. The goal should be an ensemble of furniture whose sizes and styles produce a harmonious whole.
