Floor lamp. Structure in brass, base and ballast in in zamac metal
alloy. Parabola in resin. Available painted aluminium (A), matt white (BI), chrome-plated (CR) and dark grey (GS). Two patent pending joints situated in the base and on the arm allow the appliance to be rotated 300°. The head, 360° adjustable, allows the lighting beam to be orientated in all the directions.

Smile represents concreteness (from “concrete”), stability, the use of materials, an urban dimension, a bollard turning into a lamp, a lamp turning into a bollard. It’s concrete bulk disappearing in the darkness to become light, colour, directions, patterns, as an integral part of the environment around it. It’s the contrast between full and empty, air and material, darkness and light. It’s the solidity of an element made to live among people as a discreet, reassuring presence. It’s material (concrete) turning into pure volume to play with shapes, cuts, and surfaces and create light.

The shape and technology of this standard lamps by a Spanish artist blacksmith were modelled on an early industrial original. The joints which make Switch On so flexible are carefully crafted. Purism is reflected in the material as well. The stem assembly and joints are manufactured of bronzed steel. The iron base and the reflectors are made of aluminium with a satin mat black finish.

Atomheart has been created with inspiration from the Sci-Fi design universe, where everything is possible and nothing is inconceivable. As such Sci-Fi and Atomheart are a tribute to imagination as one of mankind's most important qualities. The lamp itself is a fantasy over the classic presentation of the atom, where the paths of the particles form concentric lines around the nucleus and together sketch out a dynamic spherical body.

Flindt 220 Floor mainly emits direct downward light. The opal strings protect against direct glare from the light source. The fixture head appears as a shining cylinder and gives a diffused soft light in the room. The construction of the shields consists of a combination of an outer and an inner truncated cone. With their screen light, the acrylic wings provide a visual height and lightness.
