Mars
Konstantin Grcic 2003
Chair with a shell in synthetic resin. Cover in fabric or leather.
If you are looking for a chair which is like no other chair, look no further: Mars is a truly unique phenomenon. By ruthlessly dispensing with right angles, Konstantin Grcic has given it a surface geometry made up of slopes and edges which reveals a new surprise from every point of view. Good to know that this avant garde chair still fulfils all of the prosaic requirements of everyday sitting. With a slight inclination to the rear, the lowered seat hollow makes it extremely comfortable.
Mars was designed together wit the table Pallas.

There is no shortage of lounge classics, but hardly any of them is so fresh and saucy as the Satyr. There it stands, bold and robust %u2013 and that really is important as this is not a chair for formal sitting, but an invitation to relax, lean back and put your feet up. Paradoxical as it sounds, Satyr is the expression of a timeless attitude: casual but demanding unconventionality.

The Classic.
Saffa impresses through clarity, elegance and timelessness — since over half a century! The perfectly made chair is a classic among the armchairs. It was presented for the first time at the Saffa Exhibition in 1958. And it would have never required a redesign: since its 50-year anniversary Saffa is again available in the original version.

The spoon has always been a daily object. The idea of the project just comes from this fundamental object, but this time in a major dimension and with a different function. Adopting precisely the enveloping shape that characterises the spoon, this innovating system was born as an amusing and at the same time comfortable and ergonomic seat.
Spoon is an armchair/ rocking chair for interiors, made in built-in polyurethane, with a steel base and leg. It is obvious that the characteristics of the materials offer a variety of colours, to be suitable to all environments: from the bedroom to the living room, the relax area… but also in a desk room and for television programs. It is obviously possible to adapt it for exteriors.

COLLECTION STREAMLINED
The Streamlined Collection is designed (or the contemporary house... A design and interior decoration project... that evolues further by creating a big family of the "Sensitive Items". An abacus of... soft, fascinating, feminine, familar items... made of signs, materials and colours deriving from the variegated book of the living memory, wich traces down to atmospheres of a more or less distant past. These items reflect the complicated and articulated connections existing nowdays among fashion, design and art. In this way the house becomes a place to be interpreted following one's own flair and sensitiuity, experiencing different kind of juxtapositions, creating uery charming domestic furnishings... The items of the Streamlined Collection represent a "sensible abacus" that let coexist both our memories and dreams.

Stripped to the essence, PRIMARY is the first comprehensive Quinze & Milan collection and a line that deserves to be called a Quinze & Milan classic. PRIMARY kicked off the use of QM FOAM™, a proprietary material developed and produced by Quinze & Milan. The pieces in this collection include stools with
and without legs (POUF 01, POUF 02 and POUF 03); one-, two- and four-seater settees (SOLO, DUO and QUATTRO); and a chaise longue (LOUNGE). Soft materials and a simple design language are a tried-and-true formula for a happy marriage. Not only did POUF 01 receive a triple Henri van de Velde Award (Belgium, 2001), but the sassy character of this comfortable, water-repellent collection has made it a hit worldwide: look for PRIMARY in prestigious public spaces from San Francisco and Detroit to Cannes and Porto. The pieces in this collection also lend themselves to residential projects. Custom color or sizes are available upon request, PRIMARY is also available upholstered in leather and fabric.

Certain Quinze & Milan collections began as purpose-designed products never intended to be available to the public. Two examples are ROOM 26 and CAMPING, one of which was designed for the refurbishment of a houseboat and the other for the Hotel Ellyse collection. Carried on the waves of success, they eventually became part of our Quinze & Milan collections. Key to all two collections – ROOM 26, CAMPING – is wood, a material playfully combined with fabric, leather or QM FOAM™. ROOM 26 has a look that fuses the familiar and the timeless with ‘something different’; it offers a large range of products – tables, chaises longues, bar stools, chairs, benches, settees and cupboards – which are able to transform an interior into a space that shouts ‘26’ or, when used sparingly, to conjure up a room that barely whispers the word. Custom color, finish or sizes are available upon request.

The type of Piccolino designed by David Palterer, with its by 45° offset legs, goes back to the so called "Fauteuil de bureau", a desk chair which was invented in the 18th century in France. Characteristic, until today, is the semicircular backrest which forms one piece with the armrests. The across the corner positioned frame and frontally placed leg enable a comfortable position when sitting for a long time.
Already in the Napoleon-palace on Elba stands an interesting predecessor of this chair, the so called "loafer", on which the people, waiting for an audience, could sit.
