After its first success with Domestic Arts of Paris in 1953, Pierre Paulin starts since 1954 a collaboration with Thonet-France for which it draws in particular writing desks and chairs. It is at this time that it designed the writing desk models '' CM 141 ''. Ligne Roset republishes this writing desk in 2008 under the name of Tanis. Its original drawing is scrupulously respected but the modest completions '' '' of the time are enriched and brought up to date: the plate inkstand is made in black Corian or glossed black laminate matched with the black enamelled steel mounting while the block 2 drawers is plated in drowning natural. integrated working area
This integrated working area consists of various units. A working area, which can be set up or removed very quickly because it folds away, is integrated in the side-panel wall unit. All the doors are fitted with hülsta SoftFlow and close almost silently, just like the cupboard doors with hülsta's SilentStop device. The optional halogen lamps create the right atmosphere for work.

Glamour Writing desk, natural finish (102x66x88h cm)
The special elliptical shape of the top goes well with the lightness of its tapered, slender legs. The desk features a flap which opens to reveal a series of niches decorated with ebony and details in mother-of-pearl. A rich, sophisticated texture inlay in walnut and briarwood with an ebony inlay decorates the flap and the useful extractable shelf. There are two spacious drawers which were designed to hold even a portable computer. It comes in a natural polished version or also the classic walnut one (Art. SC18).

The Frankfurt furnitures are part of a series designed by the architects Norbert Berghof, Michael Landes and Wolfgang Rang representing the German version of Postmodernism and, within this version, more specifically representing the "Darmstädter-Frankfurter Schule". The designs of this production series are produced in a limited quantity of 100 pieces each and are numbered, dated and signed.
The Frankfurt cabinet F1 is a secretary bureau in bird´s eye maple, ebony, bruyère, root timber, solid maple, bubinga, ivory, horn, brass, gold leaf, marble types Lasa and Aosta, Granit Bahia Blue etc. It is provided with small safe-deposit boxes, secret safes, drawers and a writing plate. Every single piece is an individual construction - a hand-made masterpiece. The Frankfurt cabinets are works of art. They have been part of significant exhibitions and many international museums have bought them.
