Wood, preferably heartwood; enormous attention to detail but clean-cut lines are an absolute must; finish hallmarked by artisan skills: in one word -Porada. What would appear to be the secret recipe for any article is actually the key factor which has allowed the well-known Italian
manufacturer of furnishing accessories to go international and to be recognized by a huge public. |

LENS
Table
Design Patricia Urquiola (2003)
Lens table and small tables were developed from a study of a clear surface offering a great feeling of depth. The result is two sheets of glass with a special film inside. The table is enclosed in a metal frame and sustained by two supports. |
|
This table is part of the project "Equipement interieur d'une habitation," displayed at the "Salone d'Automne des Artistes Décorateurs" of Paris in 1929.
The lines are simple and severe (a source of inspiration for many modern tables even today) with the use of completely industrial materials (steel and glass).
The tubular ellipse that forms the base was used by the aeronautical industry at that time. Beyond the beauty of its form, it was probably used also because it represented the symbol of the modern era: the airplane.
At the beginning, however, the table was not manufactured: first of all the "airplane tube" was not easy to find and it required a great amount of careful soldering and polishing to produce. The line was in fact considered as too futuristic |

Le Ali collecion, Dela table.
Simplicity and refined distinction combine in this striking table that can become a true furnishing protagonist. The top, in wood or glass, is raised above the frame, adding up-to-date and unusual lightness to a masterpiece in solid wood. |

The trick with the break! The innovative table support Le support produces visual tension under the table. Le support consists of a only one, several times edged piece of metal, available in six paints. It is in such a way formed that a large edition for the desk top and the sturdy, diagonally running table-legs develop. So nothing can slip kippeln or.
With the suitable glass desk top Le support of the practical auxiliary order table for guests transforms into an elegant food board, which earned itself each day at least one meal.
